I personally use the Grim Reaper BH and in my opinion much better head. My brother in law always did use the rage until he messed up on a bear. The Rage will deflect off a shoulder or something like that. The Reaper punches right through! I have shot several deer with Reapers and the blood trail is as good as the Rage trust me.

We sound like a bunch of ole women on here complaining about whatever!!! Gotta love the brotherhood of bow hunters!!!!!! Wishing everyone luck this year, and hope you all kill a good one.

Oh I know I did the right thing, but being that close twice to a buck of that caliber is tough to get no shot! I have been at this for a lot of years, and know you dont get that many chances at a crafty ole buck like this boy. The bird hunters are starting to bang in the woods and that will drive these guys to go nocturnal. I like to bow hunt to get in the woods while the deer are still relatively relaxed, and its easier to patter the "big" bucks around food sources. Im gonna have to hope he falls in love and makes a mistake now im betting. Thanks for the words of encouragement though, I appreciate it.

This past saturday I sat in stand from daylight to dark. About 2pm a nice buck came running by, I stoped him with a grunt call and he came in to 39 yds, but presented no shot, quartering too in the small bushes..Just saw his head..Two steps to clear and he was done. I was at full draw for at least a min. The buck backed out and moved down wind of my stand (about 15 min) then came back in behind me at 33 yds..Still could only see the head (Nice, Nice 9pt in the 240lb/ 160" range) Again at full draw, but presented no shot. Almost the same angle as the first time, but in the bushes, with absolutely no opening. If I would of forced an arrow in the kill zone, it would of deflected for sure off the bushes, and I didnt want to wound the deer. The second time he came in, the thought of shooting him in the head crossed my mind, but decided against it. Im shooting a grim reaper broad head, and have seen them go through metal barrels. Needless to say it was very dissapointing to be that close to the best buck with a bow (twice) only to not get a shot. Very, very frusturating. The boy would of been dead if it was rifle season!!!!

Cool post, thanks for sharing your hunt and experience. I was lucky enough to make it to the Milk River last year for a hunt with Jack Billingsley is Glascow. Im from the Northeast (Maine) and we definately have some trophy dear up in the neck of the woods, but nothing like what I saw on the Milk River. The amount of quality white tails that you can see in this area is unbelieveable to be honest. I was like a kid in a candy store the frist two nights I was there glassing and scouting. You might sit for two weeks in Maine and not see a deer. Maine measures a trophy based on weight. I have shot/arrowed 16 over the 200 lb mark. Since I have been watching Realtree I have gone more to an antlered hunter, meaning Id rather have a large set of antlers then a heavier deer. That being said I have my biggest buck to date with a bow this Sept. (12pt typical frame 165" green the deer weighed 232lbs dressed) Shot at 54yds with the Bowtech Destroyer 350. Its a little far on the distance, but that was as close as he was coming! Nice website and its a good resource when it comes to anything to do about hunting. Look forward to following more post!

Hunting the blacked out Bowtech Destroyer 350 72lbs 30" Vicotry Armour Piercing Shafts Grim Reaper Broadheads. HHA sight with 4Xlens (awesome) Vital Gear "Kaz A Way rest This is a death rig! Shot first buck at 54 yds with clean pass through. Deer went 40yds. Anyone shooting the HHA sight knows that this setup is very capable for 60yd shots. Takes some practice, but I have no issue cracking a deer at 60yds. Seeing speeds of 345fps on the arrows. The setup is awesome.

I just ordered a dozen of the vicotry "armour piercing" shafts. The old nano shafts. They are smaller in diameter than the Easton FMJ shafts. Anyone ever used these? Just looking for any feedback on the quality.

I picked up the 350 this season and love the bow. Im 65 lbs at 30" with a FMJ arrow getting 308' with it. First morning in expanded archery drilled a 8pt still in velvet at 54yds. Shooting the HHA sight with 4x lens on it and its lethal at 60yds. love the set up and everything about the rig!

New member, and have been reading post for a few years on here. Lots of good information. I have been a Matthews faithful for years and years, with the last bow being a Swtichback EXT. I just purchaced the Bowtech 350 Destroyer. Not really sure what to think yet, but it is much much faster than the Switchback. Im just sighting it in now. Not really as smooth but still new. I put the HHA sight on this, with the 4x lens, which is by far the best sight I have owned. Do any of you guys shoot unfletched arrows sighting in? I had my 20yd marker set pretty darn close with fletched arrows and when trying some unfletched arrows it was a bit off, but the aarow noc end was about 30 degrees off. Is it a big deal to make sure that is not like that? Like I said the bow is shooting pretty good with the fletched arrows. Im shooting Easton FMJ 400 arrows with a speed of 295'. Draw length is 29 with 65lbs. Im doing a Maine black bear hunt in a few days and am going to take the new bow. My question is what do you guys think of the Rage 2blade for bear? Never taken a bear with a bow, but several deer and that set up does a nice job on deer. Im thinking it will be fine, but always appreciate some input.
