1. The final score was 155 7/8 and netted 139 5/8. His G2 and small drop was broke off. Think he would have made 160 if he wasn't broke up. I am proud of him either way no matter the score.
2. I haven't had the chance to look at that particular light but I do have the Stream light super tac and its a small light but as close to a spotlight as you can get in a small light. really like the Stream Lights.

4. Got some more pictures But not of these two bucks. At some of the other stands we sent out there. Keep in mind that this is not a pay hunt, this is family owned land. I think I like this Tall 9 Point the most.
5. Done!!! Tell him to stay strong.
6. The ranch I hunt here in MS is loaded with coyote. We used to have loads of Turkey but now you are lucky to see any. I'm thinking the Coyote and bobcats might have alot to do with this. We are planning some serious Coyote hunting but have never done it. We shoot all that we see but its not helping just getting a few a year. Right at dark you can hear 3 to 4 different packs yelping in different directions. Any advice on how to properly hunt them? Calls, how to set up, night hunting or day?
7. Im in MS and if your ever this way I could help you out with it. Pm me if you need to.
8. Congrats to your boys first buck. Very nice deer.

Had me a ouch also. Let the WSM slip off my shoulder
12. Another way I have done this that turned out really good is marinade the meat in Dales and worcestershire sauce, put a Jalapeno in the middle, wrap with smokey bacon, and fry it in about 1 inch deep of cooking oil. Can also put some cream cheese in with the Jalapeno if you like.
13. Several more pics.
14. The bad part about this is I bush hogged and planted that entire field and since then have gotten 0 pictures of any of these bucks during the daylight hours again.
15. My idea on a shooter is with kids and first timers let them take any deer that will make them happy. For me I have taken enough deer over the years that its a lot more fun for me to watch the young bucks grow and see how they change year after year. What good is it to take a smaller young buck that has the potential to be a wall hanger in 2 years? If you take that small 14 inch wide 7 or 8 point most of the time the horns get cut off and thrown in a box with the rest of small bucks taken over the years. Alot of people say that if they don't shoot it the neighbors will. Well the way I see it is if I don't shoot it and the neighbor does then just maby that neighbor is a kid hunting for the first time that got the small buck and it will be a trophy to him or her. I think all bucks taken by someone that has been hunting for years earn the right to atleast be put on the wall instead of the horns cut off unless its like some have stated as being a cull (6 point 4 year old+ etc). In Most places there are way more then enough does out there to fill the freezer.
16. Taken in KS 2010. Great mount. Anyone want to take a guess at the score?
17. The last picture is him in velvet. I'm thinking he broke this horn off in early stages of velvet and the end result is how it turned out. What do you think?Appears to be a older deer with the sway back and blocky chest but I'm thinking of letting him walk to hopefully let the horn grow back right next year.Think he is to old of a deer and that he will be going down hill or what? Thanks in advance.
18. Well 2010 season for me in Kansas turn up great with my first Buck with a bow (My Profile Picture). Now I have been sent a couple of pictures of bucks taken at the very same stand this year. In case I get lucky again would anyone care to take a crack at the score on these 2 deer? Hope to have some more pictures coming soon to get a better look at them.
19. Don't feel to bad about having to climb up and down the tree several times because your not the only one that has had to do it. I was headed to my climber once, had a long walk and was sweating very bad by the time I got to my tree. I was rifle hunting and realized that I left my rope to pull my gun up in the truck. I went on and put my stand on the tree and started to climb. When I got to the height I wanted to be I sat down to take a breather and cool off. I sat there probably 10 minutes hanging my bag on the tree and getting settled in. Started watching for deer and got to thinking I am missing something lol. Got to looking and realized that I didn't have my gun. I looked down and saw it was leaning against a tree on the ground. So yea I have had to do the climbing up and down before also. Great story and good job.
20. Well as I am a truly pleased customer that what ever type hunting you are doing the Warmbog is a great way to go. I don't work for these guys or even know them but I do know the Warbag is one of the best hunting gear that I have bought in years. I get very cold when hunting which typically forces me to hunt out of a shooting house until the recent purchase of my Warmbag. We went to Kansas this year for my first Bow hunt and I was worried about the cold from not being in a shooting house. Me and my cousin both bought Warbags and had no problems at all. The heat went out on us in the home we were staying in and we didn't have any fire wood so what did we do LOL? We got in our Bags and watched the football game while we waited on the tech. to come fix the heat. On a side note 2009 Rifle season I hunted in Kansas also and woke up one morning and it was 5 deg. and 30 MPH winds. Luckily I was in a shooting house that morning and had my Buddy heater with me . Either way don't ever go to Kansas unprepared especially if your from the South and used to weather like you have in FL. GW Smith hope I'm not bragging on your product to much but it does so good for me I don't have to worry how cold it is any more and I TY guys for it!!!!!!! PS: The picture in my avatar is the first buck I have ever taken with a bow during my KS hunt this year
21. Ty for all the responses. It's ashamed that we have good genetics and have a good chance of having something to look forward to in the future with this club but they just informed me this past weekend that they were not going to change any of the rules or put any kind of restrictions on the bucks. So with that said I will be moving on to try to find a new club to join or maby start my own. Thanks again, oh and BTW they also told me we were taking out to many Does that we were going to take so many that we would never be able to see any deer. All we have taken this year is 25 Does on 4000 acres and the Biologist recommends 40 at a minimum and would rather have 80 taken this year.
