I recently inherited a Model 700 25-06 after my uncle died. While I was going through his ammo, I found a box of Winchester Positive Expanding Point ammo. My uncle knew what he was doing cause they grouped about a quarter size group @ 200 yd. I shot a 50# hog last week right behind the shoulder with one of these, and it totally destroyed both lungs, perforated his heart, blew open his diaphragm and liquefied his liver. There was no liver anywhere that I could find, just a bunch of thick, viscous dark blood. It looked like a little bomb went off inside that hog's chest. It tore up the rib meat on the exit side, but never made it through the hide. After a good cleaning out with the water hose, the hog ate pretty good, but I won't use it again on an animal that I plan to eat. Just too much potential for ruining meat with a big exit or one of those fragments tearing open some gut and making a mess.
