I would recommend anything that is dual band. It will give a better bandwidth allowing better coverage as well as better coverage when multiple users are connected. You don't have to break the bank on one, but I would say spend a little bit on a trustworthy brand. That Netgear mentioned above is a pretty good price.

I enjoy watching most hunting shows mainly because they are better than other things on tv. Never thought about complaints I had until this morning watching one of the shows. The host repeatedly said he only shoots does, never bucks. I have watched this show many times before and know he shoots bucks. Just thought he seemed a little inconsistent.

Illegal to shoot dogs on your own property? That guy must have a dog who has never growled. If he was truly fearful of a growl without the dog making any threatening moves he has never had any encounter with a dog. That's a completely spineless move and he should get the stiffest penalty he can get. Yet should also remove all the pets from the man's (if you can call him one) house.

Rookie Question More information/questions: I have shot both guns and liked the 500 a little better. Would one be better for waterfowl than another?

Hi all, I am new to the hunting world and just purchased a bow last June. Had a blast this fall out in the stand. I'm now looking to buy a gun. I am on a pretty tight budget unfortunately but I know there are some great relatively inexpensive guns out there. I have heard great things about both the 870 and the 500 and was wondering which some of you prefer? Thanks for your imput!
