  1. I grew up in the North and once that cool weather came in the fever was on . Thats all I thought about, night and day . I use to dream about it all the time .  Since I moved to North Carolina it is unbelievable hot during the bow season. I have thought about going out but i just keep thinking its way to hot to hunt .
I feel that I have to recover a deer within a half hour after the kill and gut it . If i dont the meat will definitely spoil and it would be a waste.   I feel i owe it to the animal that im hunting to properly do the things im supposed to do while hunting and recovering and processing.
what do y’all think about hunting the hot weather and how to enjoy hunting in the hot weather

for me im waiting for the temperatures to drop to atleast 70.   I will be hunting in a ground blind for the first time in my life . Since I became disabled im afraid to climb 30 ft in the air

    God Bless and Happy Hunting!!

  2. skin it

Field dress it in the woods , dont cut the piss bag ,,,watch your field dressing video the night before,,,after field dressing ,I take it home and skin it and quarter it up ,then I take the select part of the meat and take off all the sinue, that is the filmy looking stuff on the meat and remove any deer fat ,,,then I mostly grind for burgers and some for jerkey ,,,,,the key is get all the sinue and fat off ,,,,,,,when I grind the meat I replace the deer fat with pork fat ,,,,,sometimes o add ground beef to it ,,,

It is easier to work on the deer after its been chilled a couple hours ,,,,but I do it right away

Last year I shot a doe around 6:30 and I was home and had deer steaks on the grill and eggs by 7:45 ,,,, it was a good day
