What gets your goat? What is ur all thoughts on a show that's about us. About putting the work in yourself killing does and bucks if your lucky and talking about hunting the small lands like most if us hunt hunting land that u may put a small clover plot in maybe quarter of an acre on small land like 20 Acres here or 30 or 15 stuff like that. Just asking me and my are mulling over ideas for something like that on the Internet. Would u all watch something like that? We talking about Doing it For fun for something to show our children one day and if the 1% chance the right person saw it and something happened that's fine, if not we still doing it for fun for the love we have for hunting the excitement. This ain't no hope we get rich or famous just something different something real something that average joe hunter can say oh yeah I know what that is like. Anyway we were just mulling ideas like I said and just wondered thoughts.

NAP Walmart is actually getting better every year carrying more and better gear. I'm not so sure about the clothing but I got rage broad heads last year there and this year I've seen rage nap muzzy cheap ones I've seen ameri step blinds and stands etc
-
under armour clothing That treestand base layer I have is scent control but they consider it base 5.0 so I am hoping that it solves my problem of getting cold on stand one of the biggest reasons I switched to under armour other than the non bulk
-
under armour clothing I know the stuff seems really popular that's why I got in on it and I can see why though too. I also have some of that redhead endura skin. I like it too. It seems pretty good as well for half the price.

I've spent last couple years saving money and buying under armour clothing to replace my old hunting clothing. Anyone else use ua. So far I absolutely love it. It's lightweight warm and this year I've actually got the scent control tree stand base layer. I am excited about using all of it I expect nothing but comfort ability warmth moisture wicking and now scent control. Anyone else use it or plan on it it's expensive but hope it's worth it and lasts many years. Oh yes and I've got everything in realtree ap!

NAP Yeah I used to use thunder head they good they also make those quick Fletches I used first time this year instead of buying new arrows to save money. It's like shooting brand new more accurate arrows with super tuff vanes

estrus scent ? The way that pre orbital gland works is its like a calling card it's not a sexual lure or anything it can be used all year long it lets other deer know who's there and they will come up and leave their scent as well. It is 100% natural from a real buck it's expensive like 30 bucks for a small bottle but shelf life is 5 years and u don't use that Much when u put it out

Hey I was thinking about planting some chufa for the turkeys this spring. When should I plant it and how well does it actually work and keep turkeys? I live in eastern Indiana. Thanks!
-
Food Plot The property where I hunt I'm gonna plant some more turnips here in a couple weeks. However I have leftover Seed from my vegetable garden sweet corn and green beans I think I'm gonna put it out as well what do u all think, will it do any good, will the deer eat it?
-
estrus scent ? I really like Hunter Specialties. I use the natural doe urine before the rut and the estrus durning however I use it more for a cover scent. I have seen bucks and does alike get on it and smell it but I've never had a buck come running in the trail I made to the stand. I did start using something I read about in deer and deer hunting magazine called smokeys pre orbital gland now I've been impressed with it. I put it out put a camera in front of it and I've had great results several bucks coming in to smell and leave their mark on licking branches and the stuff lasts a long time.

Humans around stand. Usually a pretty good rule of thumb is if it's a plant and it's colorful or bright it's usually poisonous.

I-kam xtreme Lol yeah sometimes it's really hard to sit still when I go with my buddy he always complains about me moving to much when he starts to complain I just remind him of the 170" buck on my wall. Lol I usually get shut up whatever u were just lucky!
-
I-kam xtreme Ha ha I mean it's not gonna be great video it's just a 3.0 mega pixel camera with no zoom but I think it will do the Job as far as Hangs free and easy to use and get on quick. For example Indiana squirrel season starts aug 15 I am Gonna take my 2 year old at least to follow me get Him in the woods but this way I can video him with both hands free to grab him lol or shoot a squirrel

Has anyone tried out these glasses and What are your thoughts on them. I know I can get the Older model on eBay for about 60 bucks. Do they do ok for what they are I have seen a lot of bad Reviews and some good but I think a lot of people that get them expect them to film like what they see on tv and I know they aren't nothing like that. I just want something that if I forget the camcorder or get in a bind as can't get it set up these are there and easy. Thanks for ur comments!

evolved harvest bean plot help
swhughes81 replied to swhughes81's topic in The Realtree Pro Staff Room
evolved harvest bean plot help Thanks yeah I know that's what I am afraid of we have 20 acres and on the 20 acres I have 4 small clover plots each a different brand and trying this bean mix as well just trying to give the wildlife options while increasing hunting enjoyment/sightings -
Hey I know realtree endorses evolved harvest so I thought maybe someone could answer my question! I have a quarter acre plot of mean bean crush. It is starting to get some grass and weeds in it pretty bad. What is a herbicide I can use on it that will kill all the grass and weeds but not the little soy bean, lab lab, and cow pea plants coming up? Thanks guys! Steve

What's the best strategy for hunting turkeys in the afternoon with off and on rain I went this morning seen two hens and heard no gobbles. I was thinking about trying again about 4 pm should I hit the fields? Thanks fer ur guys advice!
-
turkey huntin in rain I've heard that too rhino thanks guys I got a blind I hate to take it on public land so ill just wear some water proof clothes! I bet the gobbling shuts off in the rain though?!
-
Tomorrow in Indiana it's supposed to be raining a steady rain what's ur thoughts on huntin in a steady rain? All the turkeys have moved off the private land I hunt and onto gov ground so I am hoping with rain a lot of guys will stay home. Is it a waste of time or is hunting a field in steady rain a good idea?

I live in eastern Indiana close to brookville lake. Last year I had pics of bucks every time I checked trail cameras thru the summer into huntin season. This year two buck pictures. I've been hunting since October 2nd and have seen 2 does. I try to hunt 3 times a week and to my knowledge have spooked no deer. Last year almost every hunt in same private land i saw deer including bucks. Does anyone else think blue tongue is worse than what there saying? Others that are hunting around this area are saying they have seen far less deer as well.

I need help. I am hunting 20 acres in Indiana I thought this morning would be great with the cold that came through. However I never saw a thing. It's been like that all season so far I hunt every sat and sun morning and one evening during the week. We have a 3 acre field with just over grown grass and a small food plot with oats and turnips in the corner of the field next to a fence line the rest is woods we have a quarter acre clover plot in opening in woods. last summer I was checking cameras every two weeks and had bucks including two very nice mature bucks on camera every time I pulled cards. This summer 2 pictures of a buck that's it. It's like they have vanished. Last year several rubs and scrapes. This year none. I don't think it's hunting pressure because I'm not out there anymore than last year and I always go scent free. There are rumors that blue tongue was really bad here. I thought maybe between that and maybe different crop rotations on the bordering farms changed there movements. I just don't know I'm losing confidence fast, please give me some advice!
