any atv mechanics? Sounds like the shifter plate, not the drum screw. Not too hard to change, and only a $7 part. It could be something else but you won't know until the cover comes off. Pm me your email address and I can send you the manual.

any atv mechanics? Ok my first thoughts with out seeing the atv is the bolt on the shift drum may have loosened some, or the shift plate may be cracked. But it could be a couple other things. I have a few questions does the shift lever move freely? Were you able to up shift or is it just stuck in one particular gear? Ps I have a digital copy of service manual I can email to you, if you need one.

any atv mechanics? I consider myself a decent mechanic, I have rebuilt 3 Hondas this year. Recon, rancher and foreman450s. The transmission part of it is the part that gives me headaches. The guys at honda foreman forums helped me out a bunch. On my '01 450 there is an adjustment screw for the shifter. It is on shifter side of engine almost below the front drive shaft. Let me go find my '04 Manuel and see if urs is the same

Night Hunting About 5-6 months ago me and my neighbor were having problems, similar to this. When we were kids we would ring the doorbell and run, and we did it to our own friends n family they knew it was us. Well kids today will go to your door and jiggle door handle and beat on door and run, what they were doing to us was beating on the side of the house. Talk about scare you half to death. 3 am sound asleep then it sounds like a wall is coming down and ur baby starts crying hysterically. My first reaction is grab the gun and go. Me and my damn neighbor bout shot each other cause we were sneaking around looking for the culprit. Once we figured out it was kids(15-17), we got em, and it's safe to say they won't be back .

You can buy the tape kits on eBay for like $5, it's worth it IMO if you know which one u need I prolly have it and will give it to you but my guess is you need the whole kit so you can determine the one you need.

New HHA sight just came in! Awe man are you in for a treat!!!!! It took me two try's to get mine dialed in to the "T", but man is it worth it! I absolutely love mine. I leave the adjustment knob for the slider just a lil snug not tight so I can move it without loosening while in stand. I can leave mine set at 25 and be good shooting 0-35 yards with no problem.
