  1. Thats awesome congrats !!
  2. Good luck muff hope your daughter gets one. And good luck to the rest of the team.
  3. if you want to get a jump start try hunting closer ranges with your rifle. you know set up a good bow stand and hunt it with your rifle. and pay real close attention to the prevailing wind patterns in your hunting area this year. so next year you can some what predict wind movement.
  4. man just sit back and let my hard earned money that the man stole from me do what its supoosed to do. they take the tax money and pay people to destroy our past time and for some a means of meals, by reintroduction of wolves, then sooner or later tgey will have to pay someone to " sharp shoot" the wolves or relocate them. because the population has become to big and dangerous. then they have to pay someone to reintroduce deer, and other animals now almost extinct because of the re population of wolves. BUT THERES NO MONEY TO INCREASE SALARIES FOR FIRST RESPONDERS OR TEACHERS. ......... I digress...... wolves? the 2 legged or 4 legged?? end rant
  5. Martin should have something to say about those pesky wolves. Being down south wolves are not a problem here. But I have heard many a story about people having the same experiences as you up north.
  6. thats a very good point that I wish I would have thought of in my discussion on the other forum.
  7. Awe man thays no good at all. Are there any others in your area?
  8. that is so awesome. its a moment that will never be forgotten by either of you. Every time you see a shooting star from now on you'll think back to that moment
  9. Ive heard of the buckee thing mentioned here many times. So I will finally ask what happened
  10. I haven't been a member here long, but I remember this time of the year to have post after post about you name it, and it was here. When the app and tapatalk quit working it seems like everyone left. Now they somewhat work but its so frustrating to post or navigate. That people stop in say hi, if they can. Then move on, its a shame.
  11. I read on another forum something that really bothered me, from an ethical stand point. The topic was sighting in rifles and more than a few people said " I sighted my rifle in three years ago and it still holds true no reason to waste ammo shooting every year when I know I never bumped it." If you dont check your zero how do you know its true ? As a bow hunter I practice my form and technique and check my zero as it is easy to get a stick or something jambbed in and bend a pin. The same goes for my rifles, before the season I bring my rifles that I hunt with to the range and check zero and heck just shoot for practice and fine tuning. Some of my rifles are more "tuned" than others because the longer you shoot it and try different ammo or combinations the more so to say tuned it can become. Shooter fatigue, scope eye, anything can be an issue so the more you practice with a rifle ( not meaning shooting 1000rds an outing) the more fimilar and accurate you become with it. Right? or is this a diluted reason I have bestowed on myself to go "waste ammo"? What do you guys do?
  12. Whats up team muffzilla? Lol any news to report? My bow opener is in 2 weeks and I haven't had the time to even open my case.
  13. I saw some raccoons walking around on stilts last weekend after closer examination, the stilts were deer hooves. I quickly asked the coon " hey man what are you doing? " in a very scared and rattled tone he replied " the green guy with the big head gave these to us and said that if we wanted to be left alone when they brought the deer back in February, that we need to walk around in these to fool the people that are dressed as trees.
  14. Went to the lease this past weekend to work on the camp. Checked my cams and there just isnt a whole lot of action. Hopefully the big one ive been chasing around for the past 2 seasons made it thru the year.
  15. Quick draw McGraw, man you got a speed loader for that thing lol. Congrates man good stuff
  16. How is that guy not smiling?!?!
  17. Kick some leaves around then pee in the dirt or use a dripper just be sure to be scent free
  18. Dogs ugh... as much as I hate to say it its not the dog's fault. Its the owner's. Catch em return em first time, second time relocation, third time is the last. I once caught 2 dogs, knew who they belonged to the dog runner's next door, we spoke to them numerous times called ole green jeans to no avail, so this time I tied them to the owners bumper that didnt turn out well
  19. Started taking jr last year, he was 3. Like rhino stated there wasnt much hunting done. We would go in the woods late morning and late evening. Often he would nap or be rustling about. I believe at the young age its more about being with dad doing guy stuff than the actual hunting part. He knows the season is fast approaching and he cant wait. He turned 4 last weekend and almost all the clothes he got was camo.
  20. I missed it. Im a little slow I apologize. Whats the problem?
  21. Whoa I didn't know the post worked. It kept giving me error after error.
  22. Check your arrows before and while shooting. My buddy got lucky yesterday. Lucky that it didnt go thru his arm.
  23. I hope the lack of laughter is because you guys are dragging a monster out the woods
