lasy yr i use winchester copperplated lead 4 shot.i still have 14 of them left so im gonna use them up and im gonna go pick up some nirto 4 or 5 shot when i go to dick's next.my 1400 can only take 2 3/4 in shells so im somewhat limited to what i use but the winchesters seem to work well out of my gun.

well i figured id try to post some of my picts from the deer i shot this season.heres the story of the 4 pt.. me and my dad got to the bottom of the hill where we usually hunt and decided where we wanted to go and i decided to go up a logging road where i sat the first day of season and didnt see anything so i get up to where i sat the first day before light and right at light 3 small does came walking up through from the feild and around 7:20 i saw some movement down by where the does came through so i got my gun incase it was a buck and sure enough i saw horns and i havent seen anything during gun season so i decided on takeing him so i got my sight on his chest and pulled the trigger he takes acouple steps and stops so im like alright i must of hit a limb and missed or something so i eject the empty out and put another one in and shoot at him again.he takes another step and stops and im like what the heck so i eject that empty out and put another one in and he runs 10 yards or so infront of me and stops so i put the sight on him again and shoot and see him like drop alittle bit when i shot so i knew i hit him then i watched him fall over the hill and i radio'd my dad and told him that i shot one and he was down and said i was going to go walk back down the logging road and see if i could find a shell that i lost that morning walking in and he said alright just walk down there and come back and radio me again then u can go look for him so i go down then come back up then walk down and theres blood everywhere so i follow and see him down so i walk over and radio my dad again and tell him i found him so my dad said to drag him down by the feild and hed be over in a bit. heres acouple picts from the 4 pt i shot http://s257.photobucket.com/albums/hh216/nysbuckmaster/?action=view¤t=camerapictures009.jpg http://s257.photobucket.com/albums/hh216/nysbuckmaster/?action=view¤t=camerapictures008.jpg heres acouple picts of the doe i shot.and the story the neighbor kid wanted to go with me hunting because he likes hunting but he doesnt really have anybody to go with except his grandpa so i say alright so i go and get him then go up by a feild acorss the hill from my house and we walk up around the feild and walk up a logging road then sit in the middle of the ridge for awhile then we didnt see anything so we walked down at the bottom of the ridge further then circled back down below and just about when we got to where we were sitting but at the bottom by where i parked i see something that looks like a deer so i tell nick to stop caus i think theres a deer so i look through the scope and theres 3 does standing there watching us so i pick out a doe and shoot at her.we walk over to where i shot and theres blood so we follow that out and it goes out towards my tree stand near where we parked in a green feild so i peek up over alittle knoll on the edge of the feild and i see her laying in the feild dead about 35 yards from my treestand.nick was prety excited because i shot one..so i tell him to go over 70 some yards and get the trecker and drive it over here while i gut it out..i was prety happy there was no dragging job b/c it died in the feild by my stand where we could drive the trecker http://s257.photobucket.com/albums/hh216/nysbuckmaster/?action=view¤t=doe002.jpg http://s257.photobucket.com/albums/hh216/nysbuckmaster/?action=view¤t=doe001.jpg

it depends on where u planning on storeing your gun.me and my dad dont,we just leave it in the backroom where its somewhat neutral temp's(not hot but not cold) and not where theres any moisture.so it should be fine as long as its not in a place where theres going to be moisture.

i think its a buck rub. a bear would of made a mark up higher on the tree

no the cass creek's dont have remotes but u can get alittle like speaker type thing for it and its got a cable thats like 15 ft,so u put the speaker type thing out on a limb as far as the cord can go then turn it on and hit whatever sound u want and the sound comes out of the speaker type thing.or u can just use the call itself without the speaker
-
i have acouple cass creek's that i use that have worked for me and i have acouple johnny stewart calls that i use that work for me.as far as prices go u cant beat the price of the cass creek's,there 20-25 bucks depending on where u get them and they work just as well as the better brand calls such as johnny stewart's

u can use what ever u want.i use a 223 the majority of the time and my 30-30 occasionally.but all the calibers that have been mentioned above will work fine
