I'm just south of kc and went out Saturday and the scrapes weren't hit at all but I did get a decent 7 pt to come running to me rattlin one of my favorite times to rattle is now right after the main part of the rut.

Thats one thing I love about having the shot on video u can go back and see exactly where the shot was it tells u a ton on how you should go about trackin the deer.

Second portion of bow season opens up here in Missouri tomorrow gonna have one more buck tag to fill hopefully its this guy.

Head in out now to get a doe tag and gonna be in the woods rest of the day hope yo put a big ole doe down.

Good luck guys I will be heading out tomorrow as well to see if I can put some doe meat in the freezer how every one has a safe hunt.

Around where I live the only time I see deer bed by creeks are if it is a large creek bottom and lots of grass but I have a few areas kinda like you described if its a steep enough bluff they will bed there even on the bluff just depends on cover. IMO.

We are hoping at least one of us gets an opportunity at this buck and we just hope some of the neighbors don't shoot him from the road have had a problem with that in the past but I think this buck is old enough to outsmart them one more time.

Keep at it movement here in mo will be getting better everyday the closer this front gets to us.

Saw one buck early sat then had two does go by then about 8:30 right when it started to rain had a big 10 step out I thought I had a clear shot but I clipped a branch and missed completely and the deer ran about 200 yards and got shot by my neighbor then Sunday morning had a nice 9 pt come through my ridge about 7:30 and he ran maybe 10 yards after the shot. Not to many of my friends have seen much at all though but my weekend was good.

Just watched the news and they had a story of a guy here close by to kc that was riding his four wheeler out hunting this weekend and a tree fell on him and he died. Sure not the way anybody should go but with the winds we had pushing 40 mph gust its very dangerous out in big oak stands.

We are guessing around the 170 mark too with his huge time length all the way down the dates r wrong in pics they were Takin on Thursday.

We have gotten some video and pics of a new buck on our property hoping he stays for a little while so we can try and get him the second portion of Missouri bow season.

Here's the new buck that showed up past week hope he sticks around hes at least a 13 pt these are from a 30 sec video he comes in and works a scrape.

The 9 pt I shot this morning having a great season so far.

Good job guys I had a great opening weekend here in Missouri missed a big 10 point sat but this morning tagged out for rifle buck on a good 9 pt we did get some video and pics of a couple new bucks I'm gonna be hunting secong portion of bow season one is a giant 13 point I will get a pic of him up soon.

Missouri rifle opens up tomorrow gonna be out all weekend good luck to any one head in out thus weekend saw a big buck running a doe yesterday about 1030 in a field so there up and chasing here.

I have had that happen in the same stand twice in one year got in stand looked up and here comes a 140" 8 at 30 yards he turned and never seen him again but earlier that year I lowered my bow had my pack on then looked up and there was 2 does 30 yards com in to me that one I was able to pull my bow up and shoot a good doe but fun hunts none the less.

It my favorite thing to do here I will wait for a cool cloudy or even light rain or foggy day and I will just set up in different areas on my property and rattle and stay there for an hour id so rattlin every now and then one day my first 4 setups had 9 different bucks come up first setup had a big 7 pt walk down the same trail I did 5 min after I got there.

I'm 3 miles from Kansas east border here in Missouri still no heavy chasing did have good 8 pt come right to me rattling and grunt in and my nephew got him for youth season I usually see it really get goin about a week from now maybe week and a half .

Took my other nephew out for His first ever deer hunt this morning and he put a perfect shot non a big ole doe.

I do it mainly for lookin back and enjoying the experience but have been doing more for making videos I took my nephew out this morning and got him shoot in his buck in video too been a good year so far.

Had a great morning my nephew got a good 8 pt and my other one shot him a buck too.
