  1. Got out this evening for the opener. Saw a little 6 point. Going to give it another shot in the morning. Sent from my SM-G930V using Tapatalk
  2. Which ever name you guys want is fine with me. Here's some on the fly: Free Dirt Naps, Tree Ninjas, Team Whack Em and Stack Em, Bambi Hunters Sent from my SM-G930V using Tapatalk
  3. Got two stands up today on the public ground I hunt. One spot not too excited about but going to hit it for the early season so I don't wear out the better area. I'll move it later in the season. 2nd one put up in a spot over two intersecting deer trails and a creek crossing. It looks promising. Also found a rub and bed while I was out. Plan on giving it a shot opening morning which is this Saturday. How's it looking for everyone else? (I don't know why the pics are sideways) Sent from my SM-G930V using Tapatalk
  4. How is everyone? Just checking in. I'll be bow hunting in Iowa and Ohio this year. Sent from my SM-G930V using Tapatalk
  5. I'll start it off with the dam deer. This one found itself at the end of the line, so to speak. She was stuck on a log jam with no place to go. Someone called DNR, but I didn't stick around for the rescue mission. Second one just wanted to taunt me and bed down next to the garage in the middle of the city. 6. With the hunting season upon us for some and almost here for the rest, I thought I would share/start a thread for pictures of deer. And I'm not talking in the timber or field. I'm talking about deer that find themselves in places they probably shouldn't be, and might give you a laugh. Sent from my SM-G930V using Tapatalk
  7. Have never done it, but want to give it a try. I noticed some sunflowers that must have been recently planted at some public land I go to. They weren't very big but I assumed they did it for the doves. Sent from my SM-G930V using Tapatalk
  8. Yikes glad you're ok. It amazes me how many people still don't wear a harness. I have done it before and felt unease the whole time. I haven't used a lifeline, but I leave the tree belts from the free harnesses that come with stands in the tree with the stand so I just clip on before I step on the stand. 9. I've got the Easton Bloodlines that come with the wrap. Red/white Sent from my SM-G930V using Tapatalk
  10. It's hit me pretty hard this week. Been getting everything ready. Less than 2 weeks until the season starts here. Hopefully it cools down by then, but I'm sure it will be warm. Seems like it always is the first week. Sent from my SM-G930V using Tapatalk
  11. NAP Killzones for me. Blood trails have been good and exit/entrance wounds huge. This doesn't show the exit/entrance wounds but you can see the large amount of blood on the ground. Sent from my SM-G930V using Tapatalk
  12. Did a little scouting on some public land and brought along the shotgun for some tree rats myself. 4 in total just walking around and sitting a little. Saw a doe and yearling as well. Other than that, shooting my bow and waiting for the start of the season. Plan on hanging two stands next week. Speaking of Tree rats, here's my first archery kill 6 years ago walking to the stand! 13. I'm sure I can find enough things to post on to get to 10. Thanks Sent from my SM-G930V using Tapatalk
  14. I have heard nothing but good things about summit climbers. I've used someone else's a few times and they are extremely comfortable. With that said I'm not a huge climber fan and prefer ladder and hang on stands. I purchased an API a couple years ago and ended up selling it. So from what I have heard about summit from people who like climbers and the few times I used one, I don't think you can go wrong with a summit. Sent from my SM-G930V using Tapatalk
  15. TheHawkeyeState Drew 25 Iowa and Ohio Bow hunting Iowa and possibly late muzzle loader depending on how many deer I get. Bow hunting Ohio late October thru early November. Sent from my SM-G930V using Tapatalk
  16. If you need another I'll join. I know I'm new to this forum, but have been at archerytalk for awhile. I just discovered tapa talk and this forum. (Tapa talk makes going through the forums much easier on your phone). Anyone I'm always up for a little competion so if you need another I'm in. Sent from my SM-G930V using Tapatalk
