Jeramie
We got rain off and on late last week. However, Friday it POURED. We ended up with almost 8" in less than 48 hours. A lot of it just ran off but it was incredible to see. Its been too long. The soil at the house isnt powder and the hogs actually have something to root and roll in. Temps dropped and we had some low 90's days. I spent most of yesterday on a tractor mowing ditches and my fields. It was so nice. This morning when I left the house it was 65.9!!! High today in the low 90's. After over 30 days of 100+ this is dang near magical. Hunting season is right around the corner so this brings back a little hope and makes me look forward to fall. ckrich
It was glorious, wasn't it? I've never seen so many people outside just sittting in the rain. Looks like there are a few more chances for rain this week as well. I sure hope the western and southern parts of the state get some relief soon, it's still bad out there. Shaun_300
Glad it cooled off for you guys! We cooled off for a bit, lows in the low 50s, but looks like the heat index will be 90 for the rest of this week. Usually by the end of August it cools off a lot at night, as low as 35 or so, looking forward to that! I hate the heat!

MCH
Quarter inch of rain here. Drought still on. Trees are going dormant big time. Looks like fall. 9 out of the next 10 days are supposed to break 100. As of yesterday, Friday was supposed to be 109(actual temp, not "feels like"). Jeramie
Yep, back in the 100's. That was short lived. I did enjoy it while it was her but it would have been nice had it STUCK AROUND............
