sskybnd
hunted this weekend hoping to get another buck, been hunting every chance i can before season ends feb 29th, well this weekend i was over looking my food plot when a deer came in around 10. i seen it coming from around 50 yards or so, something didnt look right about it, no horns, and it wasnt filled out like the does i have been seeing, i was thinking if it was a doe she couldnt be pregnant and i would take her, well it fed to 14 yards of me and i could see to circles of light colored hair when the horns should be. well he turned around and yep it was a buck, my heart sank thinking how long i have been after another buck just to see one come in with out his horns, im hoping they all havent lost them by now still a month of hunting to go

layin on the smackdown
Im in south central IL, not too terribly far from Arkansas, and well, if this helps your confidence at all, i saw a basket rack 8 pointer in the hay field behind my house this morning - he was still intact...Go figure, i just did an entire grid search of that field yesterday afternoon...no wonder why i didn't find anything! dan
