bowhunter97
Wow that would surely make someone happy haha. That is awesome. I rarely hear about a deer that gets into the 200's.
Burkef1
Wow. They don't grow them like that up here in Maine. Wonder what kind of crop was going in the field it was shot in.
pointing_dogs_rule
Congrats to the guy!!! I will believe 300+ when it is oficially scored. Looks to lack 300. The Lovesten buck looks much larger then this one. Look at the ears of the buck, they are 16" tip to tip. The rack doesn't seem to come much past the ears. Let's say a few inches on each side. That gives you a 20+ inch spread. So the beams are suppose to be 30 inches??? Just don't see that. Great buck... we wil wait and see what it "officially scores". I may eat my words. good luck o all the dog

hoosierhunter
New WORLD RECORD! It's just a ploy to get traffic to his website "antler talk".
Rhino
Great buck but not 300 net. The Beatty buck is just short of 300 net at 294 and he has more bone on his head. Also...there's no mention of this Indiana buck on B&C's web site at all.

dbHunterNY
pic does not do it justice ..it looks like a 240 maybe? i'm with Martin... that sounds about right. it's just a tad smaller than a 265"er i've seen with similar rack characteristics. fullrut
Check out Mike Hanbacks site out for more info on this new giant. As you will notice, Dean Weimer, who is a very respected deer scorer and an author with many articles written on deer hunting seems to know a little something about this buck to. fullrut
Nonsense pure and simple. New pictures on ANTLERTALK.COM. one main beam over 30", the other over 29. 24" inside spread and mass measurements all above 5" makes the rack alone score over 123" without any points! 13 point mainframe is very clean side to side with only 10" of deductions meaning 24 points just add to the madness on this big fella! G1's of over 13 and 14 inches. G2's of over 15 and 16 inches. The buck has over 79 inches of non typical points. 37 scorable points total. Guys I know the first set of pics aren't real good and don't do the buck justice. Check out the latest. They will help some of you naysayers understad just what is going on here. fullrut
Nonsense pure and simple. Now this is a funny statement. For some of you that don't understand deer scoring try and wrap your head around this. Mainbeams 30" and 29", all mass measurements over 5", 24" inside spread, that puts the score of this buck at 123" with no points added in. g1's 13" and 14", g2's 15" and 16." Only 10" side to side difference on the 13point typical frame. I know the first round of pictures did not make this buck look 300" but this last picture on the ANTLERTALK.COM thread shows a little more. Rhino
Time will tell but it seems odd that a buck with 300" of bone on his head would not even be mentioned in trophy watch on Boone & Crockett's web site. fullrut
I agree but the hunter and people closeset to him had NO IDEA just how big this buck was and obviously pics didn't raise a redflag as to this buck being 300".
