too_pointer Posted February 28, 2013 Report Share Posted February 28, 2013 I am putting this here in the lounge to get the most traffic. As some know, I just bought a new Marlin model 60 .22. I wanted to get a semi-auto before the new laws might take affect. Anyways, I bought it at a very large retailer, and they did not have one box of .22 shells to sell. They also had a sign up that stated a limit of 3 boxes when they had shells. I have looked at all the major companies over the net to see if they were out, and they were. Not even taking back-orders ! Just when I thought gun laws couldn't get any more stupid in Canada, we drop the gun law registry and then this all starts happening south of the border, really sad. Our local wal mart store gets lines at the gun counter before they start selling ammo. The .22lr ammo has been hard to find for months, cabelas shows they have it but will not sell online, might be worth a call to a store near you. I'm pretty sure I have around 300-400 rnds. on hand right now, but heck, I can shoot them up in an afternoon LOL.
