Diaphram call suggestions?

Brandy-spankin new to calling and I have a good start on some mechanical calls (Box, slate, etc.) but was wanting to also add a mouth call to the mix.

I have never heard anyone use one, nor do I know what call works for a particular situation.

I am thinking I want it solely for close encounter calling when 2 hands are needed on the gun/bow and movement must be zero. I will not be trying to call a bird in from far out, more or less trying to get him the last 10 or 20 yards type thingy.

Can someone suggest a call for those conditions?

I have tons of time to practice but I do not know which call to buy.

Brand?

Multi-pak? confused.gif

Single? confused.gif

Thanks in advance! cool.gif

All are great suggestions here. I'd interject and say that since you intend to use a mouth call solely for the close encounters you mentioned, try a single or double-reed call....any brand...)though you'll understand why I prefer H.S., ha!), and get used to blowing soft yelps and purrs. These take less air to make noise and with little practice, you'll be able to produce the softer sounds you're looking for.
