redkneck
Well the first twenty years all we did was argue, the next twenty he was my best friend. Amazing what maturity can do for someone, I'm glad he finally grew up! Hope you dads have a great one, I've been blessed with an awesome dad, and am fortunate to have great kids of my on. Gonna try to give him a special day, I know that tomorrow isn't guaranteed for any of us.

MUDRUNNER
Well the first twenty years all we did was argue' date=' [/quote'] Aint that the truth. I didn't realize how great my dad was until I was out of the house for a few years. Unfortunately he passed away when I was 23, and I never got to tell him. We were both kinda macho and never did say anything about feelings and stuff like that. Make sure that your dads know how much they mean to you. wtnhunt
Hope everyone had a good one. Make sure that your dads know how much they mean to you. Amen to that. Those of you who are able, don't take for granted. Wish my dad was here. I wanted to post more, but did not want to take away from the thread, certainly not on fathers day. Lost my father when I was just 2 years old, I was born fathers day 45 years ago yesterday. He was a good man, died way too early in life on his way to work. Hard not to think about kids with no dads and feel for them. Was kind of blessed to get a stepfather at 5 that like you say we butted heads for years until I moved out on my own. Unfortunately spent a lot of years with resentment issues. Was not until after I got married I realized he did not have to take on that responsibility. Lost him in 2010. bowhunter97
Well my dads fathers day started out great with our water pump for our house going out. He came inside and started to go to work and me and my brother gave him his present. Costa Del Mar- Blackfins 580p and they are camo too. That definitely brightened his day up. Unfortunatly in 2008 he lost his dad on today. June 16 and in 2008 it was also the day after fathers day. So this just isnt really a good couple of days for him. But i do tell him how much he means to me though i am a guy and we usually dont discuss that kind of stuff.
