East Coast Snow

Pretty Crazy, got another foot overnight last night into this morning, blizzard conditions, not sure if it will go in the books as a "blizzard" yet or not but it's been relentless. I wasn't around for the infamous blizzard of "78" but we're close to having the snowiest winter on record just in the last 3-4 weeks. Up until mid to late January we had received literally about 3" of snow total for the entire winter. We're now in the 80" or so range, I've got drifts that are literally to the bottoms of my windows, I walked in the front yard today and snow was waist/chest deep in areas. Ice dams and roofs are in rough condition, don't even know how to begin to fix ice damns with the amounts of snow around the house and on the roof. I've always liked the snow and can't say that this has changed that but this much snow in this short amount of time is hard to fathom, 1 or 2 storms a week. Already saying maybe another 6" on Tuesday! Snow banks will be here until June.

Everyone stay safe.

We were supposed to get mostly snow here. Forecasters had their guess that the line would be a few miles north of forty and would be 6-10 inches of snow with a foot of accumulation possible. So far mostly mix, there is a pretty heavy layer of crusted ice. Very slick. Still calling for 3-5 inches of snow today.

At 25 and raining and sleeting right now.
