Guest 3006
i have shot muzzy 3 blade 100 gr. heads for years. then i bought the mathews outback which was a lot faster and i couldnt get the heads to fly for me . so i switched to NAP Scorpion XP heads. they seem to work great , no problems. what do you guys use or rcommend? Chrud
Re: best broadheads? [ QUOTE ] muzzy 3 blade 100 gr. heads [/ QUOTE ] What you've been using for years. Whatever flys well for your setup should do the trick. However, I do suggest staying away from any Crimson Talon (fixed or mechanical) broadheads. Weak blades, bad points, lots of problems. I saw a picture of one (mechanical) that the blades actually ripped right off and the tip bent in half!

MUDRUNNER
Re: best broadheads? I haven't had a problem with my fixed blade Crimson Talon 100's.I think last year they started using a little thicker blade. They fly awesome.I shot a doe and a racoon with the same broadhead and it's still on one of my hunting arrows waiting for it's next victim. The tip looks very similiar to a muzzy tip to me. snapper
Re: best broadheads? I agree with spin testing them first...but my experience has been sometimes you just get a bad head and can't get it to spin straight. I've nevered worried about lining up my fletching with the blades...if it spun true (no wobble) then it always flew true. I have field points, thunder heads, and rocky mt. snypers in my quiver...they all shoot exactly the same. Best broadhead is a matter of choice and nothing more. As long as your blades are sharp and you hit the sweet spot on your target....it will get the job done!
MCH
Re: best broadheads? I've used Spitfires, Muzzy's(4 and 3 blade), and Thunderheads. I was pleased with all three.
longislandhunter
Re: best broadheads? I use "thunderhead" 100 grain heads, but like others have said before,,,,, use what works best for you and flies the best.

Huntr104
Re: best broadheads? I've been using NAP Thunderheads for years now. I love them and have no reason to switch.
craig mack
Re: best broadheads? Snapper said it best dont worry about the blades and fletching lineing up. Spin test them and shoot different setups. I shoot Montec G5's they work for my setup.
