Managed to get out quite a bit during Oct. archery (we have a wacky season here in VT). Passed on a couple small does, which I now regret because my freezer is empty! After the first week of being down I honestly thought maybe it was the end here. It seems like the upgrade could have been timed a little different instead of right in the middle of our busiest 2 months.I would assume most new members join, and most current members that haven't been here in a while check in in October & November. Both haven't checked back in, to my knowledge, in a long time. Then there was an issue with the deer competition rules that had a few guys sort of heated. Heck me and Bug even buried the hatchet after we butted heads for a bit. fly Posted December 8, 2016 Report Share Posted December 8, 2016 I've always known there was an issue with Buckee (Steve) a few years ago but don't have a clue what it was all about. His post count was almost as high as William. The RT forum was declining before that anyway - Facebook, and other social media was probably a big reason why. I've gotten used to it. The deer contest is the best part of the forum for me. I love following the progress of the team and sharing the experience with others - my girlfriend isn't big on deer stories. Fwiw Steve can come back but has only been back on a few times. Would be good imo to see him back around. He definitely helped keep interest up here. The other person involved in that situation had himself deleted, he would have otherwise been banned. He tried to later come back under a different user name, to his credit he was honest that it was him. Best as i recall Scott decided the outcome. I'm part of a Texas based forum that is a lot like this forum used to be......busy busy! However, I find myself checking back here quite often now. This is the first forum I joined and still feels like "home". Yea I know, that's kinda cheesy. I too would like to see the older (by membership standards, not age LOL) members come back around.
