rossman
Re: Price of Switchback? $800 even with sight, stabalizer, kwikee quiver, peep and whisker biscuit rest. It was also paper tuned before I picked it up!!! If the price will put you in the hole, do not shoot it. I shot it and now I have $800 more on my C.C. to pay off. But it is worth it. Probably the best bow I have shot!!!!!

IowaDeerHunter
Re: Price of Switchback? At our local scheel they are 700 dollars, i think that is a lot! You can get almost 3 leaf river trail cams for that, and plus they will "shoot" more bucks than you can with a switchback. LOL

NY911Bowhunter
Re: Price of Switchback? I shall be paying $699.99 Saturday, plus NY's outrageous sales atx. Chrud
Re: Price of Switchback? I'll be ordering a Quick Detatch ArrowWeb Quiver and also the 2005 Mathews Micro Rest (0" OD, Fall-Away) so it only makes sense for me to get it from the local guy. rossman
Re: Price of Switchback? [ QUOTE ] I personally would never buy a bow off of ebay. With my luck, the darn thing would come apart after I sent my money. You get what you pay for. [/ QUOTE ] If you buy a bow off ebay, the warranty is "void". Matthews knows what region there bows should be sold by dealer, through the serial number. Ex. if I buy a bow of ebay, and the seller sends it from florida or california. A limb cracks. I bring it to my local pro shop in NY. They call matthews with the serial number. They will find out where the bow came from and void the warrranty. Matthews does this to protect their dealers so no one can undercut the market. This is what my guy at the pro shop told me. It is not worth the extra $50 - $150 saved to have no warranty!!!! Just looking out!!!!--Rossman
Guest antlers21
Re: Price of Switchback? I purchased a bow off of ebay that was not registered yet and when I received it I registered it in my name. After the cam and lower limb was damaged mathews warranteed the bow with two new limbs and cam free of charge. The warranty covers the person whom the bow is registered to. The area that the bow was bought in makes no difference at all.

NY911Bowhunter
Re: Price of Switchback? I have been comparing SB's on ebay - If you include the shipping - they are going for what I'm gonna pay Saturday. Soooo.....Pro Shop it is. Chrud
Re: Price of Switchback? If purchased on Ebay, I don't think the warranty transfers. I think the warranty is only good from a dealer. So, I see no reason on buying a Mathews on Ebay. JMO.

Guest antlers21
Re: Price of Switchback? Personally I would not buy another bow on ebay either just because if the person registered it than yes there is no warranty. Also if you scratch your proshops back they will ussually scratch yours. I have gotten some good deals and they have thrown in extras at no cost. I was only making a point about the warranty and chrud you are partially right except for the warranty is good for the origainal owner and that is the person who registers it. Unless your proshop registers it at purchase time? My proshop it is up to the customer to register the bow themselves. I dont see much for good deals on ebay anyway as far as high end bows go. NY911Bowhunter
Re: Price of Switchback? Well lets hijack the htread! I have heard the SB is great, but the barracuda string is junk! Any input on the string??
Guest antlers21
Re: Price of Switchback? I would love to hear some input on this string. Personally if I stay in the zebra string family I prefer the tiger string but I would love to hear more about the barracuda.

Any input on the string?? [/ QUOTE ] I've heard a lot more good that bad about the string. The main problems with the string is that folks don't think any adjustments should be made to the string. When adjustments are made, they automatically think the string is junk.

Any input on the string?? [/ QUOTE ] I have had great luck with the string.....had to make two seperate adjustments to account for stretch during the first 400-500 shots, but it is rock solid now.........for once, I am impressed with a factory string....the Barracuda is Ok in my books........and believe me, I am a guy that shoots every new thing out there......and I normally put Winners Choice or Vapor Trail on from new.......but I thought I would give this string a chance.........it performs like claimed.... On a side note......the Switchback is equally at home on the 3D range as well as the spot range.......I shot my first 300 rounds of the year at our state tournament and I posted a 298/300 and a 299/300........I only wish i could have afforded to keep my Outback as well....
