So we listened to the weather and heard that it was supposted to be rainy all day. We got up at 3:00 and arrived at our spot were we spotted the hen and tom last night. We put out a jake and hen decoys. About 4:30 after a crow call the tom gobbled. At that point we realized he was in a tree very close by. We gave him a couple yelps and he gobbled back. A little after 5:00 a hen flew down from a tree. Then she walked around our decoys and kept pacing and got within 5 yards from us. At this point we thought she would bust us, but she didn't. After stayin as still as we could for about 45 minutes. Then she calmed down and started eating. Then the tom flew down and walked towards the decoys. Then my dad watied for the perftect moment and shot him, and down he went. That 12 gauge 3 1/2 inch mag did its job! I will post some pictures below.
