Guest rutnroy Posted May 8, 2005 Report Share Posted May 8, 2005 looks like i'll be eating tag soup this year. it's been awhile, so could anyone remind me how it's made. do you simmer or boil the tag . what about marinade? personally i think i'm going to boil the heck out of it. it was a tuff 5 days of hunting , birds were not responding to the calls. and very little gobbling. the closest i got was on sat. , had been working a tom with this hen showing up . he was 100yds. and showing off to his new girl friend. then they both left. there were 3 of us hunting the property and no one got their tom. only saw 1 tom while on stand and 1 while moving. this was a very unusual year for us. well got to go the pot is boiling over! Although, he had a chance on Saturday and didn't pull the trigger. He got excited and thought the bird was too far out. Turns out it was only 25 yards out. Oh well, live and learn.
