Well as some of you might have saw an earlier post of mine. I got a big ole 25lb bird opening day (it was my first opening day longbeard). Well something else I havent done yet (well untill today) is get the two bird limit here in ks. Well luck shined down on me today. Heres how it went.

I was debating last night whether or not to hed back to school then and start studyin up for my finals. Well my first one isn't till 7pm tonight and campus is only about an hour away for my house. So I made the right decision in my book and got up at 4 this morning to try and fill #2 tag. Well I here em gobblin on the roost along this ridge i always here em on. I setup just over a little hill so they cant see my decoys from the tree. A little soft callin and hittin my hat on my knee gets em to fly down about 630. Well I pulled 2 birds through a fence to my decoys that I had set in my fav. position (jake right on top of hen). They finally pop out to my left around the bend in the treeling about 20yds struttin and spittin. Well for some reason they got nervous. I noticed the far one's snood got real short and stuck straight up in the air (sign of nervous and about to bail). About that time the started walkin off at a fast pace so i cackled and one slowed down to almost a stop. Which got him some federal 3" 5shot Flight control shells. 25yds no moving or twitching at all. 10" beard 3/4in spurs not to heavy.. maybe 20-21lbs.

So my year is over and my dad has yet to catch up to me... Well he is at Lake Tahoe right now for him and mom's 20th. Got till the end of the month to get him a bird though.
