As far as population control, most of what you will find will be related to the overpopulation of mid-continent snow geese, and perhaps local control methods for resident Canada geese. As far as ducks are concerned, hunting is not so much about controlling populations. In fact most habitat work, and duck seasons and limits are set to PRESERVE and ENHANCE duck populations for hunting and for species PROTECTION.
