A Bad Accident Here On The Ranch....

Today we had our bulls up so that a vet could check them out to make sure they were up to par before they get put out to the cows.

We were loading the last 6 bulls up to haul back to there pasture, when one of the bulls turned around and hit the other guy that works here (Bob) and sent him sailing about 20 feet. Before Bob hit the ground that bull was on him so fast that all of us there couldn't get to him fast enough.

By the time we all got over to were Bob was at the bull left. We got over the fence to get Bob when the bull turned back around and started back at us. We are trying like crazy to get him out of there. Bob's leg is badly broke, cuts all over his face and blood going every where.

The leg that got broke was crushed back when Bob was 18 years old and was all pinned back together. Man folks I'm tell ya right now this doesn't look good. Not good at all and there's a good chance he may loose his leg over this. God I hope not...

It was amazing that the bull didn't kill him. I am sitting here right now shaking so bad just trying to get over this.

So now mean while, Bob's at the hospital, I have one crazy bull at the working pens that I have to do something with. I'll tell ya folks I was ready to shoot the bull. That's how bab it was and at this stage of the game. He may be hamburger.... These are all Angus bulls. This the first time one of them ever done something like this. Oh I keep my eyes open at all times when I'm around them. Trust me...

I hope all of this made some since. I'm pretty shakein' up right now....

Man what next, It seems like here lately everything has been turning to a big pile of something I hit to step in....

So please! I ask yall please!

Can you spare alittle prayer for Bob....

Thank You....

Re: A Bad Accident Here On The Ranch....

We just had same deal here a couple weeks back at my neighbors-an older Charolais bull camped on him-this one is very bad-broken back-busted ribs-punctured lungs-they had a six hour surgery to rebuild three fractured vertebrae with bones from his hip. He is still having trouble breathing on his own off the respirator. That bull did get rifled-you can handle those big buggers hundreds of times but you can never let down your guard that's for sure.

You just may get that wish buddy....

I have a rifle in my truck right now ready to go. I am letting the bulls calm down for a while before I head back to the working pens to try get them on the trailer and plus waiting for a phone call so I can find out how Bob is doing.

This pacing the floor now is about to drive me nuts.
