VTbowman
Well last night was it. I had sold items that were still on my baby and I had to remove them to ship them today. I had to have a moment of silence before ripping my sweet set up apart. It sad cause now only the bare naked and sad bow remains on the rack. Hopefully things work out and I can find it a good home. Believe me it was not an easy thing to do since I was still not 100% sure if I was doing the right thing. Well now I am commited to my long bow since its all I got left thats shootable. Say a prayer for my bow. LOL
AdvantageTimberLou
Re: Ripping your bow apart!!!!!!!! Don't worry, those of us who got a piece of it will cherish it and think of you when we go hunting!! Good luck with that long bow, Fred Bear would be proud of you!! You'll do good with it I'm sure but I'm also sure it hurts to get rid of something you enjoyed shooting just as much!! Lou

I was htting very good at 20 yards last weekend which made me feel a lot better about it. By this fall I should be consistant and deadly to 30+ yards for sure... VTbowman
Re: Ripping your bow apart!!!!!!!! [ QUOTE ] I think this will only make you a better shooter knowing that is all you have [/ QUOTE ] That was part of the way I was thinking too. Having a compound crutch to fall back on when the game stay just outa trad bow range makes it hard to commit to hunting with a long bow. Now I just need to sell that evil wheelie bow and rid myself of its lust and ease of shooting. LOL
christsavedme
Re: Ripping your bow apart!!!!!!!! I give you alot of credit aswell. I shoot both right now and have thought about selling my compound and just shooting the long bow, but just not quiet there yet. Maybe in a year or two. My problem is I always go out with the long bow first and take my first doe of the year with it. Then I put it away. This year I have made a vow that I will carry it until I bring home a buck. So with that said I may not kill a buck until gun season opens but owell. It won't be the first year I didn't kill a buck with my bow!LOL I realize this is probably not a very logical approach, but it is just what I do!
