MCH
What players would you like to see your MLB team get or ()give up???? For me, I would love to see the Dodgers pick up Eric Chavez and Barry Zito from the A's. Depodesta is Billy Beane's protege so maybe that will put our foot in the door first. Our farm system is stacked with young pitchers. We've signed Penny to a long term deal and we're going to sign Weaver. Jackson will be up this year and Greg Miller(remember that name) will be ready next year, so if we can sign Zito for the rest of the season and maybe one more, we could be set. Antonio Perez is one rookie we'd have to give up for sure and probably Houlton or Thompson plus a few more arms. How about your teams?? I know the Yankees definitely need to do something. I wouldn't mind having Giambi on the bench as a pinch hitter with George paying 80% of his salary....
VABuckSlayer
Re: It\'s shopping time.... I would like to see the Yankees get Jeff Nelson back from Seattle. We need some pitching for sure. Bullpen and starting. If we could get another good starter and middle reliever and start hitting the ball consistantly the Yankees will get back in it! MCH
Re: It\'s shopping time.... VA...A loan officer here at the bank is a huge Yankees fan and we've been talking a lot about their potential trades. Quick question: Who do you see them trading to get some pitching?? Their farm system is depleted and most of their starters have huge salaries. I'm leaning towards the Chinese/Korena?? pitcher Wong? or maybe even Matsui.. buckbuster11
Re: It\'s shopping time.... The Pirates need another bat...preferably at 3rd base. They've got tons of pitching in their current rotation and in AAA, plus Matt Lawton to trade away for it. But none of that is going to happen unless they can get over .500 and stay there. VABuckSlayer
Re: It\'s shopping time.... Mch, We could trade Tony Womack or one of our utility players. Maybe someone will take Giambi! I would hate to see Sheff go but if we got a couple GOOD pitchers for him then ok. We need pitching more than hitting right now. Even though we aren't exactly lighting up the scoreboard right now either! Eric
MCH
Re: It\'s shopping time.... We don't have room for Tony. We've got the all-stars up the middle. We need a third baseman, maybe an outfielder because Werth is going to be trade bait and one 2nd or 3rd starter. I bet we dangle Gagne on the market. VA...you can have him...he used to start for us...

Look for the Cubs to try to grab Mark Kotsay or someone from the D-Rays before the trade dedline.

Tominator
Re: It\'s shopping time.... The Indians need so much help, I don't even know where to begin. I'd settle for a new set of Fox announcers. I can't stand listening to them.
