HeviShot Posted June 20, 2005 Report Share Posted June 20, 2005 I'm usually in the the tukey forums,Are bow and arrows like shotguns and shells-chokes?Do you have to buy a whole bunch of arrows to get one your bow likes?whats the easiest way to choose.Is exspensive arrows good for every bow? Manufactures make sizing charts to aid you in the proper size and spine you need for you bow. Carbon arrows have a much wider application then do aluminiums which are more spine specific. You can further tune your arrow with different wieght tips and even nock end weight sustems too if you choose but most do not do this. Hope this helps... 6sixpoint_nobrows Posted June 20, 2005 Report Share Posted June 20, 2005 Re: Picking the right arrow? with a bow MOST i say MOST of the time any arrow will work, a lot of the time it just all depends on the length of the arrow. thats were you get all your differecnes in your shot...my buddy got some more of the same arrows he had been shooting and he couldnt figure out why the new ones were shooting so terrible, then he compared them with his old ones and noticed that they were cut a quarter inch too long..so a lot of it is proper length for your bow's set up. Tony Posted June 24, 2005 Report Share Posted June 24, 2005 Re: Picking the right arrow? there are mnay websites that will allow you to build your own arrow to the specs of your bows draw weight.. i like the one on Goldtip but you definately want to be slight ly over spined for safety reasons.. serious archers and bowhunters know that perfectly spined and matched in weight arrows are one of the essentials to making a good shot on a big game animal..
