Re: Switch Back!! Foam Targets???

If you want the cheapest/longest lasting target known to man, go to a Co-op and get a feed sack. A new nylon one will run you $1 or $2. Then go around and collect plastic wrapping material. You can get it from construction sites, stores, factories, etc. They'll give you the old discarded stuff if you ask. Stuff the bag full with the plastic material. Then tie, or tape, or staple, or plastic cable tie, the end shut. Paint some dots on it and you are good to go. It'll stop the fastest of arrows and last a long time. Just don't let it set in the sun for extended periods as there is no UV protector in the feed sack.

Foam targets with the exception of the Block type targets, don't last long even with field tips. The Block and others generally do great with field tips, but broadheads will eat them for lunch.

Re: Switch Back!! Foam Targets???

I use 2 cheap foam targets I got from Wal-Mart for $10. I put 2 sheets of cardboard between them and taped them together tightly. I shot it about 100 times without a passthrough and when it got week I just replaced the cardboard. I use this when I don't feal like dragging out the 3-d target and setting it up.

For my major practicing I shoot a Delta Broadhead Buck.

Also I shoot a 385grain arrow @ 285fps out of my SWITCHBACK shocked.gif

smile.gifYour gonna love that new bow man!!!!!!! smile.gif

Re: Switch Back!! Foam Targets???

Congrads on new bow!! Was really thinking about getting a SB for myself, but I decided to hold out and give my Patriot a chance,, the SB shoots good and fast. any inexpensive target won't last long.. might as well save up for something good,, it'll be worth it

Good Luck
