elkoholic
A sadness in my heart for the victims and their families and an ever growing anger over the pathetic state of our current justice system. Forgive me the rant, but how many victims must there be. I am not sure how many of you have followed the story of the murders and kidnapping that occurred in Idaho, so here is the quick story; a mother, her boyfriend and her 13 year old son are found bond and bludgeoned to death and her two younger children, ages 8 & 9 are missing. Six weeks later the girl is recognized by a restaurant employee and the police are summoned. The man she is with is arrested. The remains of her brother, found buried at a remote northwest Montana campground, are positively identified just a few days ago as those of her brother. She witnessed her brother being sexually abused and she herself was abused. The offender, a registered sex offender from ND was on the run from police in MN, I think, already had spent time in jail for kidnapping and sexually abusing a child. He had a web site where he stated that he wished to hurt "society". This man should have been put to death years ago. What kind of society do we have when individuals like this are allowed to continue to prey on the innocent and unsuspecting. This case kind of reminds me of another one here in Montana several years ago where a sexual predator from another state was allowed to circumvent prosecution if he would only leave that state----well he moved here and sexually violated, killed and ate a few more victims. The ACLU, the bleeding heart liberals and the, turn the other cheek, folks be damned, I think it is high time we take a hard line, be done with the revolving door justice system and remove those who can not live within the rules of society from among the living. Excuse me for my bluntness and my long-winded rant, as I needed to let off a little steam.

HuntingInMaine
Re: atrocities and justice I have been following this case and my prayers go out to this little girl. I can't imagine living through all she has and the nightmares she will probably be dealing with for many years to come. I too am horrified that this 'thing' (he can't be human), was allowed to walk the street, but I still can't help but think about all this dear little girl has been put through. As an adult, I don't know how I would deal with it, how is a child suppose to process all the horrors she has witnessed?
