plannerman
Updating my gear and the last component will be my release. I'm shooting a relic, a masterpiece of early '90's technology, a James Greene "Gator Jaws". I like the "full hand feel" of that model and was curious what others are shooting/recommending. It's my birthday soon so I'm looking to get a good release, not the $19.99 special.

Guest tyshe17
Re: What release? for hunting scott is hard to beat. the single jaw ensures taht the string comes out the same way every time, they have a nice buckle that makes it fit the same everytime, and a LIGHT trigger. Great Hunting and 3d release! I shoot the little goose, a lot like the little bitty and the wildcat is picking up a lot of followers. However, since you are use to a bigger release, the mongoose might be the ticket. They run about $
muggs
Re: What release? I personally like truball's over trufire, but whatever feels right for you is all you should worry about. There are a lot of good release out there for under $40, Cobra's are really nice too.
Guest thegoat273
Re: What release? i HAVE TWO SCOTT LITTLE GOOSES. THEY ARE GREAT. I PREFER SOMETHING THAT HAS A BUCKLE. GUARENTEES NOT SLIPPING OF THE VELCRO WHEN YOU ARE PULLING BACK ON A DEER, ADDITIONALLY IT HAS AN AJUSTMENT FOR HAND SIZE. I BOUGHT MINE AT BASS PRO ON SALE FOR $45 A PIECE. YOU CAN ALSO FIND GOOD DEALS ON EBAY ON THEM. IT GETS MY VOTE
