VTbowman Posted July 16, 2005 Report Share Posted July 16, 2005 I just went to try and psot some pics I uploaded this morning and saw all my "Thumbnails are not available". All except the 2 pics I uploaded. Then when I tried to post the pic I got some fishing.net crapand when you click on the pics name you get all the info but a red x instead of a pic. I have many pics on there that took literally hours to upload. I went threw this crap with photobucket too and switched back to 101. I have been wanting to go to RealTree pics page but man it takes my dial up like 10 minutes per pic. Literally. I just dont have the time to go threw and upload them all again. This really bites... I'm on high speed and it still took forever to upload pics onto that site.... after all this stuff started happening with Hunt101, i started at Photo Bucket. That site is great! it only takes a couple seconds to upload pics, and I like the layout a lot better than at Hunt101. I wrote and asked them what the deal was and I got a one word reply. "Sorry" Like they were saying to bad but oh well.. I went back to hunt101 and they were pretty good. I stopped storing pics there last year when they had all their problems. I use Photobucket and realtree photopost now. I guess I can't complain really because it's a free place to store pictures. Whenever I get something for free in this world, I never expect it to last forever. That way, I'm not too disappointed when it doesn't. It's just more of a pain in the butt than anything else. I've used my links over there a few times in the past year, but I never bothered storing more pics there, than I already had. I knew it was just a matter of time before they crapped out again. It was nice while it lasted. The only safer place to store pics in on your own PC, but you can lose all of that too unless you back them up by burning them to a Disc. I still got em at home and can upload them anywhere if I got 2 1/2 weeks worth of upload time to do it.. LOL I suppose I will start uploading to RT site from here on out... I quit them way back when they were having all sorts of problems and from the sounds of things I guess things haven't changed. It wasn't nothing but a big headache...
