Guest Finn
Has anyone heard about this coming out in the fall: http://www.yamaha-motor.com/outdoor/products/modelhome/441/0/home.aspx Will the 450 motor be big enough for this machine? preacherman
Re: Yamaha Rhino - 450 Don't know about the motor size, but around here you can pay an extra $1500 and get the 660. That is what I would do.
Guest Finn
Re: Yamaha Rhino - 450 An extra $1500 doesn't sound bad but when the starting point is already $7,999......it adds up quick
hutchies
Re: Yamaha Rhino - 450 The 450 is no doubt big enough for that machine. My dad has a 84 model Honda 200 and that thing will go anywhere a 500 will go. Only difference will be top speed and torque. I ride a 400cc quad and it will pull up the front end in 4th gear but it is a sport quad. Point being you don't need to be hauling butt on something the size of the rhino. preacherman
Re: Yamaha Rhino - 450 know what you mean about the price adding up quick, but saw the Polaris' the other day at $10,000 and man, that is indeed steep!

AaronS
Re: Yamaha Rhino - 450 It will depend on the gearing. If it's geared low enough it will do well. Those Rhinos are great machines....wish I could afford one right now.
wtnhunt
Re: Yamaha Rhino - 450 Would think a 450 setup right would have plenty of power.

Guest ronin
Re: Yamaha Rhino - 450 I have the Rhino 660 and love it. The power is great and I wouldn't trade it for anything less at this point.
Chrud
Re: Yamaha Rhino - 450 I'd go with a 660. I think the 450 motor in that machine will be on the weak end.
coles
Re: Yamaha Rhino - 450 i love 4-wheelers and everything but it seems kind of dumb to spend $10,000 on a rhino when you could buy a real nice pickup for that and use it alot more. AaronS
Re: Yamaha Rhino - 450 The prices are getting crazy for sure, but a Rhino or other atv will get you many places that you could only dream about with a pickup.
Guest ronin
Re: Yamaha Rhino - 450 Take the P/U of your choice and it will never hang with the Rhino...or most other good ATV's for that matter.
doubleA
Re: Yamaha Rhino - 450 I dont know much about the Yamaha Rhino as I am a fan of Polaris. I own 2 Sportman's ATV's. Two months ago I purchased a Ranger 4X4 and have to say that I really like this machine. I have a working ranch and use it daily. It's a real work horse. Like a few posters have stated, this type vehicle(rhino, mule, ranger etc.) can do things a pickup can not. They are indeed pricey, this one is equipped with optional cab, rear sliding window, fold out windshield, extra lighting, dual batteries, filled tires.Drive out price $11,000. Is the price worth it? In my case it is as I can write the expense off. Today I bought another one, it's the Ranger XP Limited Edition. This one has the bigger 700cc fuel injected engine. I had the same options installed as it's younger brother and also some bumpers, price $13,000 I know it's alot of money, but they are worth their weight, one just needs to give them a try. Life is good....doubleA
