Ladder Stand shooting rails?

I see these strap on shooting rails that strap to a tree for those who want a shooting rail for a ladder stand or chain on.

Anyone here ever use one? Are they stable? I want to use one for gun hunting out of my ladder stand this season if they work OK.

Have seen them in magazines, and kind of have to question how stable they would be. Guess if they are cinched tight to the tree and built well, they could work well.

I don't use them in the ladder stands I've hunted from. Sorry I can't help here.

I bult one with 1 1/2" angle iron exactly like the ones in the magazines and hated it. It was way to flimsy. I ended up just welding one directly to the stand and it works great, I can even swing from it.

I have the same stand. I didn't assemble it with the shooting rail, or the arm rests, as I use it strictly as a bow hunting stand. Great sturdy stand though.
