Tominator
Re: Daily Report [ QUOTE ] VERY, very crappy day. [/ QUOTE ] Care to elaborate? Hot and Humid again today. Getting tired of this weather, but hey, it's Ohio; it will probably change soon. Found another woodchuck that needs to be dealt. Got some corn, taters, and squash ready in the garden. Beans, lots-o-corn, and melons soon.
Turkeygirl
Re: Daily Report Another day working custodial at college for me. I am really getting frustrated with a girl who is lazy and doesn't do her job; cleaning is't that hard. On a great note I saw my old advisor from athletic training and his family. They are here in the area for the month. They have been in Mexico working with an outdoor missions type of program for a couple years now. It was so great to see them! buckbuster11
Re: Daily Report I just got back from Pittsburgh. I had to run around Carnegie Mellon college campus (which I've never been on before) to try and find a certain building which contained a certain professor who had the special printer paper for our plotter that we needed. Traffic and parking was just awesome to by the way. But at least I killed half the day crusing around in a company vehicle.

oo_buck
Re: Daily Report I usually show up about 15 minutes late. Use the side door so I don't walk past Lumburgh's office. Then I usually just space out for an hour or so. But it looks like I'm working, so you know. Then after lunch I usally space out for little while again.. I'd say I do about 15 minutes of "work" in a week. And another thing, I have 8 different bosses... sorry, Office Space rant.... greatest movie ever, and it describes my place of employment to a T.... Grant-KS
Re: Daily Report Did my usual day at the college doing landscaping peeling dirt back to be rocked, and taking out some bushes. Got home, replaced ignition switch and battery cable eyelet on my riding mower, then somehow broke the starter gear on electric starter, so I went and got a new one and replaced it along with a drive belt. Drained the oil, put some more in, checked the dipstick, looked too good to be true, wiped it and checked it again, and again and again 7-8 times, and it always read the same...about half way in the safe zone. So, I fired it up and started adjusting the carb. because it didn't quite sound like it was running right. Then.....WheeUMP! At this point a very loud swear word was heard for miles around...well, maybe not quite, but close. Well, I guess the !$%!#% dipstick lied. Yes is was on a level surface in the shed on cement. I'm 100% sure that it broke the connecting rod which I replaced along with the piston and rings, governor crank, governor link, seals, gaskets, air cleaner, throttle shaft and bushings, cone drive shaft, lower cone drive bearing, blade, straightened bent deck, drive belt, fixed tires, made fuel tank mount, adjusted transmission, battery, and numerous other things I'm forgetting at this moment. Along with countless hours of work on the engine and mower in general. I was actually sort of surprised when I went 2 weeks without having to fix something. If this was mom&dad's mower I wouldn't think twice about $$, but this is my very own personal riding mower that I paid for, and am constantly buying parts for. It's a dixon 312 that had been parked out in the trees behind the small engines shop that I got for cheap knowing that the engine needed to be rebuilt...from there the excrement hit the fan blades on the flywheel and spread it all over the mower. Anyway, had to get that off of my chest.
Guest BuckMaster058
Re: Daily Report On my way home last night from work cuz I work second shift driving forklift, I saw a Y buck and a doe in a field where I usually see them. For the most part that is the only reason I take the scenic route. But nothing new from this end school and work.
christsavedme
Re: Daily Report Well since this post started yesterday let me back up one day. Yesterday was my first day back at work since I injured my back.....well that wasn't pleasant in its self. Well I get to work and find out that they have hired a new paramedic and I am going to be training. Well normally that only takes a week because most of the time they won't hire you unless you have worked on the streets prior to coming to the ER. Well this girl just passed paramedic school two weeks ago and doesn't have a clue what she is doing. So she has to follow me for the next 2 months.....YEA ME! Don't get me wrong....I love teaching, but this is ridiculous. I just think just because you know someone isn't a qualification that should get you a job, but hey what do I know. On the bright side, I did manage to get a doz. arrows ordered and my back doesn't hurt today. So with that said......I will be heading back to work today for another day of tortue! Can't you tell I am thrilled!
