Smitteken
I ordered some arrows from a guy on ebay over a week ago. He said they would ship on Monday. Well thursday came and nothing. So I emailed him. I got an email back from someone else, who said the guy was in the hospital, but the arrows would be shipped that day. So that was thursday. I've yet to even see tracking info. I'm starting to get suspicous, but he has really good feedback. So when is it time to report an undelivered item?
dogdoc
Re: EBAY help I won a bid on a CF card for my digital camera and after a week with no CF card I contacted the company thru e-mail and they sent me a tracking number. Ended up the number was fake--contacted paypal and received an entire reimbusement. If the guy has great feedback then probably what you were told is true. I know when you order something you want it now but due to the circumstance (hospital) I'd give it another week before I asked for my money back---if you paid thru paypal it shouldn't be a problem. I always consider 10 days a fair time to receive an item under normal circumstances with e-bay.
Smitteken
Re: EBAY help It has been 10 days today. I know its sunday but I haven't gotten a reply from him since wednesday. I contacted some other people that have bought from him since I have and they've gotten there stuff including arrows in like 3 days. I don't know what the deal is, but I'm tired of being jerked around. No one else I contacted had heard anything of the hospital. I wish he would just tell me if he didn't have what I ordered. HuntingInMaine
Re: EBAY help Do you really want the arrows, or just want your money back now? If you want the arrows and he still hasn't contacted you, I would start a case against him through ebay. If you click on the item you have paid for, there will be a "report the item as not received" option towards the top of the page. Click on that and fill out the information. Ebay will send a notice to the seller and he will have another 10 days to contact you, through ebay. From there you can decide if you want your money back, or you can wait for the arrows. If the guy has good feedback, I would give him a chance. His hospitalization could be true, and it might be hard for him to find someone to take care of business while he can't. dogdoc
Re: EBAY help smitteken--I agree. I'd go ahead and start action thru e-bay or paypal.
Griz
Re: EBAY help I would file against him right now. 10 days is long enough...
Smitteken
Re: EBAY help I would love the arrows. But I'd like to get started tuning my setup. If I file today do I automatically have a choice to get my money back. Because if I will I'll order new from elsewhere and just wait for a refund. This is the very first thing I've ordered from ebay and am pretty P***ed. Thanks for the help so far. aaron
tedicast
Re: EBAY help Aaron...Me personally...I would be upset too. I have ordered a ton of stuff from ebay, and rarely have I had a problem. If the guys feedback is as good as you say, that says something about him. Emergencies do happen, and it is possible he is in the hospital. Personally, I would give it a few more days, but thats just me
Smitteken
Re: EBAY help Well he had someone returning his emails. But I think he's full of it, because I've contacted other buyers within this timeframe who have gotten the stuff they ordered and had no communication problems. He originally gave me a tracking number that still has had no activity. But whoever was returning his email said they would ship wednesday. Now if they were on the way the tracking should show it. What if I file a complaint today and they end up showing up this week? I'd wait until tomorrow but I'd like to order new ASAP so I can get going. sureshot
Re: EBAY help I sent some antlers down to GA a month or so ago, Most take abotu 2 weeks to get there and in 2 weeks I got ahold of the buyer and asked if she recieved the antlers and she did not, yet, I checked the tracking and it said it was in ont still,we went on for 2 more weeks and finally she got a letter sayign customs would not let them through the border, I sent the money back to her, what I am saying is sometimes the tracking is not true, the antlers were in the us not ont [usa customs] Sometimes crap happens, over my whole deal I got super ratings even though she did nto get her parcell,if I was you and the buyer has good ratings I would get ahold of him and ask what you should do becouse you are gettign a bit upset,if he is being honest and truthfull he will let you know,if not last resort go through e-bay for the money![just my opinion]
HuntingInMaine
Re: EBAY help [ QUOTE ] He originally gave me a tracking number that still has had no activity. But whoever was returning his email said they would ship wednesday. Now if they were on the way the tracking should show it. [/ QUOTE ] Is this being shipped USPS? If so, everytime I am given a tracking number for a package coming through them, none of the tracking information shows up until after the package arrives, so that could be the problem. If you go through the trade resolution I wrote about earlier, you won't get your money right back. It is more of a mediation process that hopes to make everyone happy in the end, but you do have a choice to get your money back in the end. Sorry this happened, but I don't know of any 'quick fix'. The best thing to do is get the process going now and you can drop it as soon as your receive either your money or the arrows.
Smitteken
Re: EBAY help Sureshot, I've tried contacting him through ebay about 5 times and he hasn't returned any of them. I know he is online because he's left feedback for other buyers everyday this week. I think he doesn't have the 7595s that i ordered and hes hoping I forget about them. maddhunter
Re: EBAY help I would go ahead and file if it was me. He has had plenty of time to contact you. I recently bought a game off e-bay and had some trouble getting contacted about the shipping but the guy's wife sent me an e-mail through e-bay telling me that he was out of town when the auction ended and he would get to it as soon as he returned. It took her 4 days to send me that e-mail.
Smitteken
Re: EBAY help Thanks for all the input. I have a fellow forum member doing some undercover work to help me out. I'll give it a day or two and see what happens. Thanks again, aaron
WHISKEYSWAMP
Re: EBAY help The first thing I ever ordered of Ebay took over a month to get. I had to finally filed a claim and I called the guy leaving several messages. He claimed he was traveling and forgot all about it. Since I did get the item I decided rather than leaving negative feedback I just didn't leave any at all. I'd be careful leaving negative feedback especially since you are new to the game. Good luck... I'm sure everything will turn out. Every item I've purchased since then has arrive within a week.

Smitteken
Re: EBAY help I finally got a reply from him with the help of another forum member. he says the arrows are on the way. I probably won't give him neg feedback because he would in turn do the same to me. And i have not rating at this point anyway. I may have over reacted but it was my first ebay experiance and was a little skiddish. thanks to all
