Swamphunter
How come Buckee is able to post 126 pics or 11 pages worth in the picture post room, but everytime I post it tells me I have exceeded my space allowed and I only have two pages that are not even full? I realize that if a certain image is too big it says this, but when I get this message...if I delete a couple pics, it then accepts it without having to resize the image I am uploading. need2hunt
Re: How come (Attn: Buckee) It's not how many pictures but how much storage space they take up. Some of the pics you've uploaded are 700-800+K (in other words getting close to a megabyte each) You need to downsize your pics before you upload them - for instance the pic of the boy with the wooden gun is 72 dpi but it's 18 x 24 inches which makes the uncompressed photo 6.4 megs and the compressed photo 716 KB. Just by resizing the pic to 72 dpi 6 x 8 inches it drops your uncompressed photo to 736 KB and your compressed photo (depending on how much compression) to a range of 90 KB - 32 KB. That equals out to about an 88-95 percent space savings on that one picture.
