Steven Posted July 24, 2005 Report Share Posted July 24, 2005 I was just playing Deer Hunter 2004. I was hunting in Northern Kansas, during the rut and I arrowed a buck that [they say] measured 178". Then about 5 minutes later I arrowed a 200 pound doe. After that, I switched over to my .300 win mag to finish the game off so I could get big boy in the trophy room. Just a few minutes later, I saw a smaller buck bedded down and I settled the crosshairs, and shot. He took to running, so I waited a few minutes of gametime and headed in to track him up. No blood? What? It was a perfect shot. I looked around for about an hour of gametime. Nothing. I must have shot a little high. So, I went to looking for another buck- any buck would do at this point. About 4 hours of gametime later, I found another small buck who didn't seem to be paying me any attention at all. I went through the process again. Took aim, settled the crosshairs and shot- then it happened- the dreaded music along with the message "Racksie is illegal- exceeded bag limit." Huh? THe bag limit is 2 bucks and 1 doe. Then it hit me. The bedded buck must've been wounded and went off somewhere and piled up. The bad part is I lost the big buck because of it- by far the biggest buck I've seen, much less shot, on the game. Oh well, now I have a mission. I was shooting deer all over the place, plus chasing them on the four wheeler! I just wanted to see how many deer I could actually see and shoot! It was funny! Bad thing is they meaning Sierra never got there server on-line for that game! They still have the old server for Trophy Hunting 4 on! Which seems very stupid! Oh well! Have fun! Don't ya just hate it when that happens I remember years ago, while bored and playing DeerHunter 4 (I think it was), I used the cheat codes to make the deer unafraid of me and the calls irresistable. I ran around the whole map (it took a few game hours) and played the Pied Piper..LOL. I lured all the deer on the map (I think) to a little spit on the lake. I climbed a little knoll to get a good view, and mowed down every deer in site ...LOL There were deer laying all over the place.
