Everytime it seems them dang chiggers find a weak spot in my defense. I don't remember ever seeing them this bad. Sure would be nice if we could get invaded by some kind of insect that would eat chiggers.....and fire ants too... Instead, we get Killer Bees... My shins looked like they had been shot by a shotgun. What have you been using as a repellent? I must be special or something because the chiggers just don't bother me. My dad can look at a bush and be covered with them. Here's what he does.... I used to have that problem until I started spreading fine rock salt on my yard and trails to my stand, keeps them chiggers, fleas, and ticks away all year, well all summer anyhow.
