Griz Posted August 1, 2005 Report Share Posted August 1, 2005 Typical Monday stuff... We have a Massey 383 that has a leak. The leak is coming from a line that holds the dip-stick, so you can check the hydraulic level. Well I call the dealership and they tell me that they need a serial number. I asked them, were is it at on the tractor. They said that it was located on the back of the cab. So I drive 2 miles to our shop and there it is. Just like they said. "HL00141" So I drive back to the office and called them back and told them the number that I got. Here's what the guy told me.... That's not the serial number. It will start with a letter... I told him the last time I was in school isn't "H" a letter, and besides that were it says "Serial Number" wouldn't that be it... The guy argued with me for a while and finally told me that they make 2 different ones for that model. I told him to get both of them for me and I will use the one that works and bring the other back. It's not like this is the first time we have dealed with them. Heck the tractor was bought from them... And then to top off my day so far. I had bulls and cows out. Found a spot in the fence that was wiped out. I got the neighbor telling me to get it fixed and to get our cows and bulls off of his place because they were eating his grass.I told him that there was only 6 of them on him. Not bad for having 250 head in that field.He kept going on about it and after I got done counting to 10... Twice... and listening to this guy chew on my tail, like it's all my fault that it even happened my spring came unwound and I blew a gasket. Sent the guy running. This guy won't help out. Won't fix a fence. When his bull or cows tears the fence up and gets on us, we have to catch them and take it back him. I mean the list goes on and on and on with this guy.... Our tree sprayer is down. I have to put belts on it today and plus I have a water line leaking that goes to a water tank that I have to fix and I don't want to forget about unloading the hay trucks as they come in to... Dale...why don't you let Todd take it by his tractor shop. Him being good buddies with the owner and all, he might be able to get a discount.
