preacherman
Re: ticked off!! it all has to do with buying in bulk! wal mart can buy so many things that they always get a cheaper price on everything. doesn't always mean it is the same quality, but it is cheaper. Tominator
Re: ticked off!! Dicks will match their price, they do around here, and if they don't return it. Try burying your turds in the grass son.
HarvDog
Re: ticked off!! I always tried to check Walmart first, then I'll hit the other sporting goods stores if they don't have what I'm looking for. Can't beat the prices...unless of course they price match. [ QUOTE ] I always tried to check Walmart first, then I'll hit the other sporting goods stores if they don't have what I'm looking for. [/ QUOTE ] This is my policy too. (See my Delta 3D target for $57 post.) I was so surprized to see a price lower then Cabelas; before shipping even. I wish they stocked EVERYTHING! LOL Dont get me wrong, I do support the little guy when at home since Walmart is 55 miles away, but when at work, I hit Wally World 1st... ruttinbuc
Re: ticked off!! [ QUOTE ] I was so surprised to see a price lower then Cabelas; before shipping even [/ QUOTE ] When has Cabela's ever been lower than anyone? They are the most expensive out there. Sure, they have everything and you may find a bargain now and then. You hardly ever find their top of the line goods "on Sale". As for the knife being almost double the price at one store compared to Walmart I'd be ticked too. I would return to the store and tell them there is a difference between making money and taking money and not to expect my patronage in the future. Make a fuss. Another thing is to make sure you check their return policy. Some places do no give cash refunds so you are stuck with store credit for something else they have marked up to ridiculous. Try and check prices of goods at different vendors before making the purchase as well. Some of the best information and buys are right on the computer you are reading this from. Guest Bob_D
Re: ticked off!! I'd rather buy my stuff from a local shop. Yup...I pay more, but the guy is there when I need him. If something is wrong with a product more then 30 days after you buy it, do the guys at Wally World do anything for you? Sure...They give you the Mfg phone number and say "have a nice day". How about knowledge? Ask a question at Walmart and see what you get for an answer. Usually, they people working there don't have a clue. Do I buy from Walmart? Sure...Once in a while. But, it's almost always after I contacted my local shop and they don't have it, but I need it that day. But back to the original thread. Don't be too hard when some places are a lot higher the Walmart. Sometimes the small guys can't even buy the product from distributers for what Walmart is selling it for. They may not be trying to rip you off....They may be just trying to feed their families.
Guest bigbuckmiddaugh
Re: ticked off!! There ought to be a Pee on Walmart sticker Support your local shops, they are people, walmart...everyone that works there is just a number and...they buy seconds, ex: arrows
