womanwhohunts
We're getting ready to plant some fall plots plus some plots that will last a few seasons.Still debating on what to plant. We've had crops of Alfa-rack,redland clover and Buck blend.Looking at some Whitetail Extreme this year. Our corn is coming in good, except for what the squirrels and groundhogs are eating and all the trees we fertilized are loaded.I just wondered what the deer were eating elsewhere. maddhunter
Re: Who\'s plantin\' what????????? I'll be putting in some turnips, wheat, vetch, and something else that I haven't decided on yet. They ate all the turnips last fall, even dug up the bulbs about mid Nov. Tominator
Re: Who\'s plantin\' what????????? Who cares? Just happy to see you post Lisa. j/k--on the who cares part. My brassicas and whitetail institute clover is doing pretty good. The soybeans are doing good too. I also planted something called broom corn for the pheasants. Some of this stuff is over 10' tall and at the top of the stalk is a big head of seed. It looks like sorghum on steroids. I'll try and get a picture of it today. Of course I will plant the new best seed on earth 2005 just to try it out. For the most part I will be planting crimson clover and bob oats. I also have to bio-logic clover plus, green patch plus, whitetail addiction mix and penningtons Mississippi Complete. The Penningtion Mississippi Complete seems to be a good mix that the deer like alot. It worked great last year so I plant a little more of it this year. I have alot to plant so I have to get started soon.

RackBlaster
Re: Who\'s plantin\' what????????? Are you sure you don't have infestation of knappweed which can kill off your surrounding forrages? The seeds from this plant can last up to 7 years and are highly invasive.
