coles
i have a remington 700 22-250 and i was thinking about trading it for a 25-06 so i could use it for both coyotes and deer. and seeing how i coyote hunt maybe once a year it makes sense to me. you cant do much in hte way of deer hunting with a 22-250. so just let me know what ya'll think. thanks huntin in montana, cole
jcwa
Re: question about a gun I also use a Remington 700 .22-250 for coyote hunting. It will kill a deer, (I have seen a very nice, large deer taken with one) but it is a little small for deer size animals. A .243 and up would be a lot better choice for deer and coyote. If your not worried about the pelt it doesn't mater what caliber you use. So a .25-06 will work fine.
