Hunters Helping Others

I'm writing about how hunters help others and I'm getting together some of the programs like hunters helping the hungry, Fundraisers etc. But I can't think of them all, and I would like to include alot.

I know there's alot going on so if you can would you list some information about the programs you know of, or, where I can find some info?

Any and All is Appreciated!

Re: Hunters Helping Others

Niterunner, I see you're in Ohio too, so you're probably familiar with the controlled deer hunts our state puts on every season. Well I know they work with Hunters and Farmers helping the Hungry during those hunts.

You should try contacting the Ohio Department of Natural Resources and find out more. I was invited on one of those hunts, I already had a freezer full of venison, but I was curious to see how they worked so I went.

When I found out you could donated your deer to that org and have it delievered to a food bank, I turned in a nice big doe. I know about 5 others guys did the same.

Check out their website and get in touch with somebody at the DNR, I'm sure they'll help you out.

Re: Hunters Helping Others

Niterunner,

Mommy (my wife) is on the state Women in the Outdoors committee and they are having there anual weekend event the 16th to 18th of Sep at Camp Muskingum in Carroll Co. Ohio.

She has also helped with some 1 day events and has fell in love with them. Oh ya, she is teaching a outdoor Photo class on Sunday of the state weekend.

If you would like more info PM me and I will see that Mommy gets it and helps with the info for you.

Frank.

Re: Hunters Helping Others

Thank You very Much!

I might send Norm Sauceman a Pm, I've been debating it.

That's what I'm trying to find out more about Muggs. Everyone's experiences so I can add them all up.

7th, I've checked into the Women of the Outdoors, unfortunatly you have to be 18 or older, Give me 2 more years and then I'd like to try it!

Keep Info coming Please!
