Strut10 Posted August 20, 2005 Report Share Posted August 20, 2005 ..........thank you Scott, thank you Realtree!!!! The "meet for lunch" at Cabela's Wheeling, WV was the best!! First time for me to meet Mr. Andrus, and I gotta say he's a real class act!! Great guy to shoot the bull with!! Realtree furnished the lunch buffet for, I believe, 18 forum members (and friends & family). So far as I could tell, a fantastic time was had by all (Snapper, Buckbuster11, Iron Buck, Pete, 7th, Alisha). Also, a special thanks to Tim for the Team Realtree windbreaker for being the first to shake his hand!!! It fits perfectly and I will wear it until it's plum wore out!! I even got out of there with only spending $171??? I think that we will have some new friends posting on the site from today. I hate to say this but of the 18 people there today, I had 11 with me. Tim, all I can say is thanks to you and the Realtree group for such a great show and putting kids and family first in what you do and not getting stuck in the kill only shot. I'd also like to thank Scott, Tim & All of RealTree for going the extra mile for all of us forum members that could make it. The forums take on a whole new realm when you get to meet the people in person that you have talked with through the net for sevreral years. It is like meeting with old friends. And Tim did a great job of feeding the family LOL. Thanks again for that. It was good seeing snapper, Strut, buckbuster & Tim again. And it was nice meeting forum members I have never seen before like 7th & Alisha. I finally got home around 7:30 last night..... with more traffic on the road it took a bit more time to get back home. 4 HOURS. First - I want to thank Tim for showing up... it was a pleasure to meet you! You're one heck of a nice guy and like everyone else said, Realtree is VERY lucky to have you. Joining you for lunch was an awesome experience... listening to your stories and such. Only thing that was missing was a campfire, and marshmallows for all! Scott - Thank you so much for lunch... the food was excellent! My mother wanted me to thank you for her meal... she was in total shock of this kind act. Thanks again. I had a complete blast at Cabelas..... and like I told Strut10 - that place makes me want to move up there. LOL It was fun chatting with everyone but I felt like we needed more time to shoot the breeze! I would have hung around and talked more but I was distracted by everything there was to look at! I hope to make a trip up there again before fall but I absolutely refuse to drive up there in that neon of mine again. My back was KILLING me when I got home. Sounds like you fellas made it out of there pretty cheap..... seeing as how I spent almost $300..... I'll post pics soon of what I bought.
