I really can't say but he got it from the makers of that stuff. I forgot the formula so I sent him an email to get it again. Here is what he said it is. Basically it is 1/3 Salt, 1/3 crushed limestone, and 1/3 washing soda (Sodium Carbonate). Arm & Hammer makes the washing soda. Now don't confuse washing soda with baking soda.
