PAbowhunter4life
Re: 650 fps bow??? Most companies already offer bare bows for that much, take the Mathews Conquest Apex for example and plenty of people buy them. As for the bow and it's specs, I'd have to pass it off as simply a rumor. A brace height of 8 1/4" just doesn't screm speed bow to me, so it's already got that working against it. All the speed bows today have 5" brace heights and the like. Granted I am sure the 3rd cam deal may help a tad, but I would have to think that 650 fps is a HUGE exaggeration. At any rate, it has peaked my curiousity so I am anxious to see if I am wrong.

Squirrelhunter91
Re: 650 fps bow??? WOW... $1300 stripped!? Fuhgetaboudit! I'll stick with my Browning... Besides, what would Pope & Young have to say about it if a deer was taken and was entered into the record books for P&Y? They would totally have to redefine the meaning of bow. maddhunter
Re: 650 fps bow??? A buddy of mine shot an arrow at about 1300fps out of his muzzle loading bow Really sounds impossible to me.
Guest lobsterman
Re: 650 fps bow??? ya i paid about $750 for my outback stripped last year, but $1300 stripped is a little much for me.
BowJoe
Re: 650 fps bow??? It won' t work for the simple fact that you cannot tune an arrow to shoot that fast, not to mention the fact that no arrow exists that could be shot out of a bow that fast without exploding. And what point would it be to shoot an arrow that fast because it would probably take 40 yds to get up to that speed and with a sound like a firecracker going off. Adjam5
Re: 650 fps bow??? It will sell. Look how many guys own $1000+ guns and scopes! It might be harder to buy and sneak it in the house though Hard to hide buying a $1500+ (all set up) bow. For me anyway. I am curious also about this bow. Make no bones about it...it will sell. Some people always want the newest and money is not an object to some. ME...its the only object in my way
dg
Re: 650 fps bow??? I don't believe it. But on the underhand, with that speed, could you imagine a rebar (like a 2219) at 400 fps? Slap a 5" broadhead on the end of that baby and there wouldn't be a bloodtrail!
oo_buck
Re: 650 fps bow??? Guys, My PSE Beast shoots about 550fps....... I can't see spending that kind of money for no more speed than that....
muggs
Re: 650 fps bow??? I don't really believe it, and if it's true, I think that's the worst thing that could ever happen to hunting. Think about it, guys complain about crossbow or x-guns already, imagine the controversay this thing will create. Heck, if you want hunting to be that easy for you, just drive around at night and hit them with your car, then take the $1300 and buy a new bumper. [/ QUOTE ] You mean a human being CAN'T throw 160 miles an hour????? As for the bow, I'll believe it when I see it. Arrows would be a problem, not to mention the string. It would have to be laced with some kind of metal.
huntn4bucks
Re: 650 fps bow??? I wouldn't buy it even if I had the money. All this high-tech bow hunting kind of rubs me the wrong way. I put my compound away last year and got a longbow. There's something special about shooting a deer with just a stick and a string. I've got an article laying around here somewhere, I think in Sports Illustrated, where they talk about old Sidd. Bought it at a yard sale... SI mentioned Sidd a while back when they were talking about a young Detroit Tiger kid that was hitting upper 100's. That's one April Fool's Day joke that will stand the ages. Leo
Re: 650 fps bow??? From a 70lb bow with a 30" draw (+ 8" brace) it is mathmatically impossible for the bow to store enough energy to propel a 350 gr (IBO weight) arrow 650fps. This bow is either shooting an extremely light arrow, has a significantly higher than 70lb draw weight or it is making use of some sort of pre-stored energy. That the only way I can see this being accomplished. Like to see how they did it... if they did. Are arrows still reusable or one time use only like bullets?
