Griz Posted October 31, 2004 Report Share Posted October 31, 2004 This evening at 6:30 I had a 8 point buck making his way to an open field. As he got behide a tree I got stood up and ready. The buck came with in 20 yards from the field and stopped. Right in my shooting lane offering me a 30 yard, quartering way shot..... My Bow Tech Mighty Mite and 100gr. Rockets did the trick. I had the shacks so bad I had to sit down for a minute or so and get my thoughts gathered up. So after I calmed down alittle I came down out of the tree and backed on out of the woods. Mean while it's starting to rain and I thought I better get Mike to help me track this deer. Once I got Mike and we got back over to the area. We picked up first blood about 5 yards from where I hit him at. Then it was like some one unkicked the hose. You talk about a blood trail. Man! I can tell ya this. It wasn't hard to follow that's for sure..... We recovered the buck 80 yards form where we started..... I will have pics posted tomorrow.... "YAHOOOOOOOOOOOO"!!!!!!!!!!!
