ILSNIPER1 Posted September 15, 2005 Report Share Posted September 15, 2005 My dad & I have been feeling like crap the past few days & last night I started to notice some big red swollen marks on my lower left leg. It was itching a little, but, it was more of a "burning/warm" felling!? My dad has had a couple of the same marks for about 2-3 days & was having really bad head aches.. then, I started to have them! The joint pain started along with the sick/weak feeling this morning, so, off to the doc's we went. We now have to take antibiotics for three weeks. If you remember I posted some pic's a couple of weeks ago from our trip to my brothers in MO. Well, when we got home we both had a couple of ticks on us, we didn't think nothing about it till last night. I have never seen ticks so darned small before in my life!? Everyone be careful this year in the woods, use something to fend them off.. I guess most anything with deet in it will work!? Doc said it was a parasite I picked up in the water. It started out as small rings that just got bigger and bigger. That sounds a bit different with the other symptoms though. [/ QUOTE ] I had that when I was a kid to buckee.It went up both my forearms and looked like someone had been putting cigarettes out on them.Mine turned into big nasty looking open sores but didnt really hurt much. I guess I left out the part about it being lymes disease!? lol As soon as the doc seen the mark he said "Yep.. you got the early stages of lime disease!" You can bet I put something to keep them off of me the next time I'm in the woods.. I feel like a 350lb buck ran me over. I'll still be in my stand opening morning though! Later All, Phil B.
